My self-summary
I love to be creative, spread love, and learn new things. I'm in grad school to become a counselor. I'm also studying other healing modalities. I'm a very spiritual person and love to learn and grow. I have a vision for my future which involves building community, offering/facilitating healing, and continuing to find new and fun ways to express myself and my passions. I love the outdoors: hiking, canoeing, camping, etc. I love animals. I love a good bonfire and a good beer :-). I love to laugh and share smiles. Beyond dating, I am looking for new friends as well.

When it comes to relationships, I hope that my future partner would be someone who also desires to help others and improve our world. Someone who also loves to be affectionate, who values trust and great communication, and wants us both to learn from each other and support one another. The partnership I hope to eventually find, to me means sharing companionship, curiosity, tenderness, authenticity, openness, and love. While I think that one of the best things about having a relationship is getting to spend quality time together, I also like the idea that one of the roles of a true companion is to protect the other's solitude.

I've come to learn that when it comes to online dating, it's best to just keep it simple and see if we can be friends. If something more happens, great, but just let whatever connection happens happen naturally. No point in rushing into anything!
What I’m doing with my life
I am in graduate school for mental health counseling and interning as a counselor. Keeping very busy but always make lots of time for spending time with people I care about and creative passions
I’m really good at
Cuddling, caring for others, being a loyal friend, buying more books than I will actually have time to read.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The best food is that which has been prepared with love! And even though I am full of love, I'm not always the most inspired cook unfortunately (though occasionally I do get inspired)... I DO enjoy cooking something special for someone who is special to me. If you happen to be a good cook you will notice that I will give the satisfaction of moaning "YUM" after every bite.

Movies can be great when they inspire me, comfort me, excite me, or challenge me. And I like TV shows that make me laugh!

Just a few of the favorites:

Movies: Arrival, Slum Dog Millionaire, Crash, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Fried Green Tomatoes, , Planet Earth/Blue Planet, A League of Their Own, Brokeback Mountain, Best in Show, Winged Migration, Bridesmaids, The Journey, and many others.

TV: I don't watch much tv but I do like: SNL, Inside Amy Schumer, John Oliver, and I absolutely LOVED the mini series adaptation of War and Peace.

Books: Ishmael, Paul Selig's channeled texts; Memories, Dreams, Refelctions by C.G. Jung; 1984; An Unquiet Mind, Letters to a Young Poet, Rethinking Madness, The Things They Carried, The Seven Story Mountain, tons of spirituality and nature books, poetry by Rumi, Mary Oliver, Pablo Neruda, David Whyte.

Music: Trevor Hall, The Oh Hello's, Crooked Still, Lauryn Hill, The Head and the Heart, Trampled by Turtles, Alexi Murdoch, The Avett Brothers, Tracy Chapman, Indigo Girls, Brandi Carlile, Peter Bradley Adams, Bon Iver, Gregory Alan Isokov, Ben Howard, Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Young, Willie Nelson... various new age, some pop, and some hip-hop....

Food: Indian food. Fresh veggies! Berries, chocolate, wine, beer and I LOVE coffee!!
The six things I could never do without
Why am I thinking of Maslow's hierarchy of needs! (Too much psychology reading!) Let's skip that and go right to things I'm grateful for....

Opportunities to explore the woods
Toasty, cozy fire on a cold day
Moments when you see the sun about to rise or set and you just know there are so many things you want to learn, people you want to meet, changes you want to make, love you want to share
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I can do to improve/work on myself and my community, how beautiful the sky and mountains are, whether or not I should go into that used bookstore even though I already have so many books I'm not done reading yet.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sitting by a fire... sometimes dancing... spending time with family and friends... or just hanging out by myself
You should message me if
you feel like we might enjoy getting to know each other or you just want to say hi.
