My self-summary
I'm a friendly, kinda-dorky grad student who is looking to meet people outside of the nursing department! I love to explore, and I love going on epic car adventures. I sometimes forget what is and is not appropriate in conversations with people who don't work in hospitals.
What I’m doing with my life
I have my BA. I spent a year teaching English in South Korea. Currently, I'm one year into my masters program, and I spend a ridiculous amount of time during the week at Seton Hall. On the weekends, I work for Meridian and hang out with family, friends, and ex-coworkers from my previous life as a Starbucks barista.
I’m really good at
Surprisingly, fixing people's computers. I'm also fairly good at writing when there's a deadline on the horizon. I read books like I breathe air- I inhale them. I also do a lot of artsy things, like photography, drawing, jewelry-making, and in the past have tried to teach myself the ukulele.

I love to get out and about. Travel is a lot of fun, and I've got a number of long weekends this semester that beg for a good trip.

I am a total social media whore. I'm all over facebook, twitter, instagram, and snapchat. My twitter handle is @krl25. Feel free to stalk me, though I warn you: I am super boring.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'd say my eyes, but that'd be a lie. Probably my less-than-stellar skin, followed by my smile (because I am always smiling!) :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I am a lover of all things Jane Austen, but I also like Nick Hornby, and crappy chick lit. I still love Harry Potter, and I totally got caught up in the Hunger Games. So sue me! Pretty much anything, though, and I read both real books and on my Kindle. Sorry if you're a book purist.

Movies: Forrest Gump, Fargo, Silence of the Lambs, and I can't help but love 27 Dresses. I was pretty much raised on Star Wars and Jurassic Park, and have a healthy appreciation for both lightsabers and velociraptors. Still an avid Disney kid. I love to laugh, so I can find comedy in just about any movie!

Shows: On TV, I like to watch Once Upon a Time and Grimm. I watch crime shows and Adventure Time when those aren't on. I love Law and Order, CSI, NCIS, and anything on ID to name a few. I also like to watch documentaries, especially ones about health!

Music: Ben Folds, Guster, Zac Brown Band, etc. I also adore classic rock, and things from the 90s. I use Spotify, so I always have new music at my fingertips. I know every Beatles song. Every. Song. Seriously.

Food: Chipotle. I think that's all I have to say on that.
The six things I could never do without
1. My computer
2. My phone
3. My dogs
4. My passport
5. Coffee
6. Good company :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I'm going to get back out to Pittsburgh!

Also, I wonder if I'm the only lunatic willing to take on National Novel Writing Month this year!
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably at Starbucks. Maybe out with friends. Most likely out to dinner with family. Most definitely exhausted from work. Probably watching a hockey game if it's on; let's go Pens!

In my program, it's hard to meet people outside of the 18 other students that have become my second family. It'd be nice to actually go out and talk about something other than exams or professors on a Friday night!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have never had a serious boyfriend. There you go, the honest-to-god truth!
You should message me if
...you are awesome and/or Channing Tatum.

...you like Flo from the Progressive commercials, because this kid is rocking her for Halloween.

You should message me if you are looking for a chill person to hang out with, take a trip with, hit up the movies with, or if you're looking for a beer--dives are my thing. I've got a pretty decent sense of humor, and I can appreciate a lot of dorky things. I'm also open to learning about new things and experiences.

You should also definitely message me if you plan on undertaking NaNoWriMo this year; WriMos can use all of the support they can get!
