I’m really good at
Quoting movies, tucking people in, singing some grunge or Tenacious D, Mario Party, Yatzhee, hiking all day without any water, speculating on why the pyramids at Giza were built and by whom, not entering the bike lane as I go downhill on Riley through historic Folsom (I seem to be the only person in the world capable of doing this).
The first things people usually notice about me
Depends upon their manner of meeting me I guess. The last person who met me spontaniously said she noticed that I was cute and charming. Granted, she was drunk, but there you go. Most of the time I would say my my odd sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I mostly read fantasy but occasionally I like to read some non fiction. My favorite author was Anne McCaffrey for a long time but recently Jacqueline Carey has surpassed her. Her writing is such a great combination of fantasy, historical fiction, mystery and romance everything she puts to paper is a classic.

For movies I usually lean towards comedies but my favorite movies of all time are Excalibur, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Shawshank Redemption, Braveheart and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Mystery Science Theater 3000 is always fun too.

I listen to all kinds of music and there's a right time for just about everything except hard core gangster rap and country music recorded after 1986. I predominantly listen to heavy metal and ska but I get a very good dose of jazz and blues too.
The six things I could never do without
My son
Football (Go 9ers!)
Sprite (This was Dr.Pepper but I recently gave up soda with caffine)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Sex. I'm a man and I can't help it. Sorry.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I cry while watching various children's movies. Up is the worst offender. That is the most depressing movie ever.
