My self-summary
Recent transplant to Eureka from Minneapolis MN. Obviously it's a bit difficult meeting new people as both a newbie to the area and being in the middle of nowhere. Being an introverted type doesn't help anything either :P

If I had to describe myself in a sentence, I'd probably say I'm a semi-nerdy dude with some athletic tendencies. I'm usually pretty relaxed not fazed by much. I asked a couple of my friends and they say I'm decisive, generous, humorous, altruistic, a good conversationalist, and fiercely loyal.

I enjoy board games, weight lifting, video games, martial arts (Muay thai and boxing recently, but I've done Karate and just a tad of BJJ.) anime, camping, airsoft and billiards, snowboarding, cooking and good conversation. I've recently taken up calligraphy, and have renewed my interest in swordsmanship and lock-picking since have so much time to kill.

I've also been known to brew beer and mead (just popped open my last batch of mead for my going away party before I left). I'm also a big fan of animals and spoil my dog like crazy, though he acts more like a roommate than a dog. Also, have to say I'm pretty serious about the whole no kids thing. It's just not going to happen.

I've got my life pretty well together on the material side of things and am excited to find someone to share it with!
What I’m doing with my life
Hard to say. I decided to pack up and move here a couple weeks ago more or less on a whim. Left my house back in MN under the care of my friend who is renting it while I do some soul searching in the woods. I work from home as a senior developer for a consulting firm based in NY (I do Salesforce programming if you are familiar with that. Lots of integration and front end work). From that work I also run a small technical blog detailing some of the cool projects and fixes I've done.
I’m really good at
Pool, cooking, flicking bottle caps really fast (seriously, I can weaponize a Gatorade cap). I'm also pretty handy at Smash Bros for the Wii U! My little mac is unbeatable haha (not really). I've been told I'm a good writer, though I'm not sure I buy it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I generally have pretty cool hair I guess. If my dog is around, definitely they notice him first. He's way more popular than I am :P
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Can't say I read too much fiction, I'm more of an informational book kind of guy, though I did recently just finish the pilliars of the earth audio book. Other than that, mostly just light reading kind of stuff (the art of intrusion, the hyperbole and a half book, martial arts instruction books, etc). Just reread the biography of Miyamoto Musashi, now reading a summary the biggest ideas in human history (philosophy, economics, etc).

Movies: shawshank redeption, samurai x, the waking life, troy, gladiator, john wick, lord of the rings, I'm also a sucker for documentaries about space, nature or history.

Music: All kinds of stuff but mostly jazzy hip-hop and rock. Here check this out. or this one is a good example of my kind of music as well

Recent shows: Frasier (just finished rewatching it), Good Eats, Peaky Blinders, Sparticus, Marco Polo, Always sunny in Philadelphia, One punch man, shokugeki no soma, RWBY, Archer, Bojack Horseman, Angel Beats.

Food: Curry, Sushi, Tacos, grilled chicken, mostly healthy-ish stuff.

Games: Just finished playing the new Doom game (holy cow that was good). Finished undertale a bit ago. Also been enjoying Naruto Ninja Storm Full Burst, Rocket league, Smash brothers, Skyrim, Heroes of the storm. Card against humanity, munchkin, settlers of catan, chess, pool, chivalry medieval warfare, betrayal at house on haunted hill, bowling, and of course billiards/pool.
The six things I could never do without
The internet.
Physical Activity.
My dog.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The heat death of the universe. What will make me happy in life? Mentally convincing myself to get to training.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing D&D (mostly just an excuse to hang with friends and talk though I have to skype in these days). Otherwise practicing my hobbies (calligraphy, swordsmanship, video games) or drinking heavily, or all of the above.
You should message me if
I'm always up for conversation. If you think I sound possibly interesting go for it. Doesn't cost anything to exchange a few messages :P
