My self-summary
Hello, and thanks for stopping by my profile. My name is Kenny.

I recently moved to Seattle from the southeast and am currently a digital artist & graphic designer living the Capital Hill area and working for one of the local TV stations. My move to Seattle was one in a few steps of crafting a new life for myself,

I started a new career, have started a new way of eating and striving to be healthy (72lbs down so far in 7 months!). I walk and bus everywhere and workout regularly.

Personally, I’m liberal, romantic, intelligent, literate, sensitive, humorous, an idealist, and most importantly to me: a dreamer. I am a people person and not only enjoy meeting and talking to people, but also making them laugh. I have a goofy streak a mile wide, but can at the same time be very passionate about topics that I hold dear to my heart (The Arts, Education, Science, and the rights of the oppressed). I have a love and zest of life that never burns out. I'm optimistic, spontaneous, and passionate. I’m slow to anger and quick to forgive.

I love trying new things and exploring everything this city has to offer. Every weekend I search groups and “The Stranger” page for new things to try. I love dancing and try to go to at last a few every month (Mercury, Couture, Re-Bar). I also am learning to swing dance at Century Ballroom.

I look for events that are new experiences (theater tours are awesome) or anything that supports or is involved with the arts and on the rare occasion all this does not fill up a weekend, I do photography (which is one of my passions).

There is so much more to me then I can express in these words on this website, but I hope this gives a hint of who I am as a person.
What I’m doing with my life
I think you can tell a lot about a person from who they admire here are some of my Favorite Quotations:

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
~ Dr. Seuss

"Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen."
~Sir Winston Churchill

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
~ Martin Luther King Jr.

"Uncertainty is an uncomfortable position. But certainty is an absurd one."
~ Voltaire

“Ever tried. Ever failed. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.”
~ Samuel Beckett

"I never ask a man what his business is, for it never interests me. What I ask him about are his thoughts and dreams."
~ H.P Lovecraft
I’m really good at
1. Socializing
2. Photography.
3. Cooking.
4. Computers.
5 Dancing (at least I think so)
The first things people usually notice about me
Most people make the observation I’m very warm and friendly, a few point out my eyes or explain I have a very expressive nature. I feel it’s my humor and random knowledge...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Science fiction, Fantasy, and Horror are my three favorite genres in written, film, video, and game format. I am an avid reader and I’m currently reading the top 100 Sci-fi books according to an NPR poll. I adore most types of visual arts and theater.

I am a passionate music addict and am almost never without headphones and a music playing, I feel it’s the soundtrack to my life. I can go from a nice Celtic jig, to a Punk song, to a Jazz piece and be as happy with each; there are areas I am particularly fond of.

1. College (R.E.M, 10,00 Maniacs, They Might Be Giants, Tori Amos)
2. Alternative (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Flogging Molly)
3. Hard Rock (Chevelle, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin)
4. 1st wave (Depeche Mode, The Cure, Peter Murphy, Echo & The Bunnymen)
5. Musicals and Soundtracks (Hedwig, Little Shop of Horrors, Xanadu, Nightmare before Christmas)
The six things I could never do without
In No Order

1. Art
2. Music
3. Fiction & Fantasy
4. Inspiration
5. Family
6. Dancing
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Dreams, life, and all things possible.
On a typical Friday night I am
Being new to the PNW, there are still so many new things to try and experiment, so out trying everything Seattle has to offer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I Cried like a little girl both during the first 10 min of UP and the last 10 min of Les Miserables.
You should message me if
Having a partner to share everything with, on its own is nice, but having that perfect someone one part muse, one part best friend would be the perfect addition to life. I often say it’s not that you need someone to feel complete, but as a compliment to life. I’m looking for someone to share adventures and dreams with, someone who I can inspire and will do the same for me, that perfect match of geeky, intellectual and passion that I have.
