My self-summary
Short version: I am a bookworm.

Pass the buck version: I am an INTP, see (not 100% accurate, especially the section on music, but close and probably more enlightening than what I'd write trying to balance between selling myself well and being honest yet not saying something likely to be misinterpreted)

Long (more a list of somewhat random observations about myself than an actual summary) Version: I sing in the car. If I like a movie I'm inclined to stay through the ending credits. I'm shy. I posses a (almost?) childlike disdain for unfairness and injustice. I'm not very good at spelling and first typed distain instead of disdain, thankfully the red squigglies told me otherwise. I LOVE red squigglies, even when they try to tell me they're really just squiggles. I've been told many times I should be a lawyer, but all in all I'd rather be an architect if I grow up thank you very much. I don't think I could be with someone and not cuddle. I think it's circular logic to attempt to argue rationally that logic is better than another faith. Despite this I do still have great faith in logic. I love to debate, but really don't ever get in fights. I have a decent vocabulary, but don't ask me to define a word; I could use it correctly in a sentence or provide synonyms but my brain doesn't seem to like trapping one word in a fence made out of others. Every once in a while I like it when an annoying person is blatantly rude so I can stop being polite and be rude right back. I don't usually like reading books or seeing movies again (if I ever do you know I must really like it) but with music I'll cherish and replay songs I love again and again (and again).

If you want to know anything about me just ask. I'm sure I'd appreciate the interest really.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m really good at
I enjoy ITG/DDR as a hobby and get compliments when I play, but you can judge for yourself and watch or
The first things people usually notice about me
To be sure you'd have to go ask them, but maybe my beard?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
For books particular standouts would have to be Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card for fiction and Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid by Douglas R Hofstadter for nonfiction with bonus points for basically everything else they've written. Other favorite authors that I happen to think about right now are (in not much of a particular order) K.J. Parker, Joe Abercrombie, Jeffrey Archer, Lee Child, Terry Prachett, Jeffery Deaver, Douglas Adams, Tom Clancy, Richard Dawkins (when he talks about science and not religion), R. A. Salvatore, William Poundstone, Isaac Asimov, Jared Diamond and Neal Stephenson. I read a lot and usually have a few books checked out from the library waiting to be picked from next.

My favorite movies that spring to mind presently are Memento, Inception, The 5th Element, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, American Beauty, Dr. Strangelove, The Virgin Suicides, Requiem for a Dream, The Princess Bride, Run Lola Run, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Lost in Translation and Being John Malkovich.

I don't really watch TV much but most recently I followed House and Lie to Me before they ended. When I do watch TV I tend to check Discovery and similar channels, yay Mythbusters.

Music, hmm. I like various rock, alternative, classical and random songs from every just about every sub-genre I know of except whiny country and gangsta rap/hip-hop. I tend to like specific songs over having favorite artists, but like the largest percentage of works by The Vincent Black Shadow, The Beatles, Cake, Fionna Apple, Ben Folds (Five), They Might Be Giants, The Moody Blues, Fountains of Wayne and The Corrs.

My favorite foods are pretty much anything that's bad for you, good salads, carrots and/or celery with bad stuff put on them, apples (must be crispy) and pineapples as well as various and sundry fruit juices.
Six things I could never do without
Something to read, desire or ponder.
Anything to inspire, confuse and instill hope.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether or not I'm thinking about stuff too much. Also Gödel's incompleteness theorem and the wide ranging ramifications thereof.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday isn't really a big special welcome the weekend night for me so it's really just the usual playing DDR/ITG with friends at a bowling alley or on the computer just hanging out on voice chat doing random stuff; sometimes I'm asocial and cuddle up with a book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I think about paying a female a compliment I tend to get nervous it will come out as just sounding like I want to get her naked and then don't say it.
