My self-summary
I'm an art teacher. I read a lot history, sci-fi, and comics. My students hate my art history lessons, but are impressed by my Wu-tang rap skills.

I love working on puzzles, going on hikes, exploring museums, annoying my cats, writing lists, and climbing trees. I used to go urban exploring a fair bit, but got sick of explaining 'trespassing charges' on job applications.

I attempt for the most part to be a decent, upstanding person, but despite this my car is a goddam mess inside. I almost always make the bed in the morning. I chase/follow stray dogs and cats to try and make friends with them.

STL born and raised. Went to Webster University for photography, and Washington University for Art Education. Currently trying to reteach myself piano and get better at rock-climbing.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm very serious about goofing off on a regular basis. I spend a lot of time working on various scripts and drawings, usually for some sort of project, comic, zine I'm interested in. Currently involved in a hodgepodge of humor writings/ short stories.

Other hobby stuffs working in my garden, taking hikes, rock-climbing, exploring abandoned buildings, reading, beer, and nachos. Beyond all that, I'd like to travel, and possibly teach abroad. And meet a swell girl that wants to go on adventures with me.
I’m really good at
Writing, Drawing, Photography, Listening, People Watching, Tetris, Rummikub, Scrabble, Frisbee Golf, Soccer, Bocce Ball, Ping-Pong, Risk, Mastermind, Tire-Swings

Not so good at: Cooking Lentils, Texting, Diving off the High-Dive, Dealing with Bureaucracy, Teaching to NCLB (eat a million dicks G.W.)
The first things people usually notice about me
The tall guy in glasses.

Musically it's a lot of Sterolab, Radiohead, Electrelane, Daft Punk, Django Reinhardt, Count Basie, Chopin, Beethoven, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Clinic, The Pixies, R.E.M., The Clash, Ella Fitzgerald, Sufjan Stevens, Regina Spektor, The Cars, The Flaming Lips, Arcade Fire, Big Black, Cat Power, Modest Mouse, Woodie Guthrie, Wu-tang Clan, Michael Jackson, Mirah, Godspeed, The Vaselines, and Bach.

Movies - to avoid another massive block of text, I'll summarize by saying I like kung-fu and action movies, comedies, independent films and documentaries.

TV Shows - Eh...don't really watch TV, but on Netflix I'll watch The Walking Dead, Arrested Development, and the Office.
Six things I could never do without
I could do without most things, and would probably be better off having less junk.

But I do enjoy a spicy bloody mary with breakfast. And my cat Simon. He is radical.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Story ideas for projects I'm working on.
Weird bugs.
On a typical Friday night I am
Potluck dinner, movie nights, karaoke, board games, or a bike ride. FBC lives within us!!
You should message me if
You want to meet up and play Scrabble.
You want to go on a hike.
You want to go urban exploring.
Or if you want to.
