My self-summary
I'm introverted, imaginative, empathic, and fairly into geek/nerd culture type stuff.

I love the arts. I'm a private visual arts teacher and illustrator. I also love theatre, puppetry, anime, and comics. I like to check out comic and anime conventions, exhibitions, special museum exhibits, etc. These celebrations of imagination fuel my sense of wonder.

I care deeply about animals. I've volunteered at a local wildlife center feeding injured and orphaned animals, and in Costa Rica helping with research and general conservation of sea turtles.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a BFA in Visual Arts and a B.Ed (my teachables are Visual Arts and Drama.) I currently teach Visual Arts at a private high school in Thornhill.

I trained as an ESL teacher in Costa Rica in 2012, and worked as an English teacher in Japan in 2013/14.

My long-term goals include creating a modern fantasy webcomic, and creating accessible visual arts classes for ESL students.
I’m really good at
Explaining the difference between crocodiles and alligators. I have a wealth of wildlife knowledge, which means I make a great tour guide on nature walks, and you'll always want me on your team for Trivial Pursuit.

You should message me if
You value kindness, honesty, and creativity. You are looking for someone who will be loyal and affectionate and who will take a genuine interest in the things you are passionate about.

Do you freak out when you see spiders in your apartment? I'll "take them outside" and also probably tell you the species.

I can also name more Pokemon than most people are comfortable with, so that's added value right there.
