My self-summary
Lets see... I'm relaxed and chill and enjoy the internet, play me some video games, and am a pretty big anime fan - a nerd, if you will. I enjoy going to concerts and big events and going out to places, but mainly just hanging out and appreciating doing everyday things with people.

I'm fairly quiet but definitely get excited about a variety of things (often in and around my hobbies) and am eager to share them with people. I don't consider myself too fancy or picky, and have been taken to be notoriously uncritical of movies (I can usually find an enjoyable aspect to any film!) but it's more like I don't define myself by what I don't like (for example, I'm not the kind of person to make smalltalk about how such-and-such movie sucked and try to define my tastes in that way.)

I'm not particularly socially adventurous but I'm no stranger to meeting new people or doing new things.

I tend to finish things that I've started. I have lots of long terms projects and do my best to keep making progress on them. I've got a positive outlook on life. I enjoy my nerdy hobbies and while I don't necessarily broadcast them to the world, I definitely do not keep them in the closet. I may not be the leader of the group, or the one keeping the topics of conversation coming, but I'll always be there to at the very least try to get in a few quips now and again.

I like soda, mexican food, and internet memes. I love to discuss and philosophize and listen to other people do the same. I can easily get interested in topics and I enjoy listening to opinions and taking my time to mindfully figure out and respond with my own.
What I’m doing with my life
I finished a Masters degree in Computer Science in 2010 from UC Santa Barbara and moved to the Seattle area to work as a Software Developer at Microsoft. My dream is to start my own game development studio and make the games I've been envisioning for years and years. I really enjoy going to anime conventions, and have been making cosplay costumes for friends for quite a while now.
I’m really good at
I've always been musical. Played some piano, viola, drums, and many years of the trumpet. I've been doing more karaoke and am pretty confident in my singing. I've always wanted someone to sing duets with and go the extra mile by like, practicing the harmony parts and all that. I'm also pretty good at the fake plastic guitar, and games in general.

I've gotten pretty handy with the sewing machine after making almost two dozen costumes for conventions over the years (so far!) This year I'm working on Eren from Attack on Titan for myself, Annie from Attack on Titan and Shimakaze from Kancolle for a friend, and Yukari from Girls und Panzer for another friend, all of which take months and months of late nights after work. I can't say I'm the fastest at it, but I'm good at focusing on projects and actually owning up to what I say I can do.
The first things people usually notice about me
I... wouldn't really know. That's a tricky question!

Six things I could never do without
The Internet!
Things to think about!
Ways to actualize my ideas!
(Not sure what else...)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The various issues that concern me. While I'm chill about most things, there are some issues on which I spend a lot of time developing my positions. I'll read things, think about them, test them, post about them online, and try to find all the ins and outs bout them and making sure that I'm truly right in holding that position. Critical thinking is important to me. There's a good amount of things that I feel I have a good solid stance on, but in order to be honest and objective, it's a never ending process.
On a typical Friday night I am
Mainly looking forward to a nice long night of doing stuff, with no particular need to worry about getting sleep for work the next day! Cheers for sleeping in on the weekend. Most of that time is spent at home though, either doing some hobbies or working on my own personal programming side projects.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Should mention that my place is tastefully decorated (not obsessively dense nor unconfidently spartan) with anime posters and figures. If you like posters and figures, then it should be a neat place to chill.
You should message me if
You are an anime and/or video game fan and might be interested in cosplaying (if not already a cosplayer!) Also if you're into japanese mahjong, or would like to learn, that would be fantastic!
