My self-summary
I'm nerdy, kind, a little bit naïve and trusting, often cocky but actually humble under all the bluster, and generally a friendly person. I probably seem shy at first but once you get me talking I don't stop easily. I think you'll find I'm pretty charming anyway, though!

I grew up an Army brat, and as a result I've been all over the US and Europe. I think it kinda contributed a lot to who I am? Anyway, it's a good conversation starter!

I'm very liberal, probably even socialist(oh no!!!). And yes, I consider myself a feminist - and understand that being a good cis-male feminist often means shutting up and letting women talk in spaces where usually they are talked over or talked down to. LGBT equality is also very important to me, especially the often neglected B and T in there(especially the T. Come on, socially acceptable gay dudes, let's not pull the ladder up after us).
What I’m doing with my life
I work and live out here in lovely(not really) Woodbridge. Working on finding a better job so I can live somewhere that's not here, preferably where there's actual stuff to do! In my free time I obsess over movies, books, and video games with friends. You know, nerd stuff.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh. I actually never really noticed this until recently, but it's apparently true! Though sometimes I definitely try too hard and end up being obnoxious instead.

I'm extremely loyal to my friends, and can get pretty defensive of them. I think generally I also tend to only focus on the best in people unless they REALLY make a bad first impression.

Writing profiles on personal sites that are way too wordy. I'm a fucking champion at it.

I'm also pretty good at being ~cute as fuck~ :D
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Easier to list authors! I like Michael Chabon, Cormac McCarthy, Susanna Clarke, Neil Gaiman, Joe Abercrombie, to name a few.

My movie taste is pretty varied. Im pretty into superhero/comic book stuff, but I also like the Coen brothers, Tarantino, Wes Anderson, some mafia flicks, lots of old Westerns…you get the idea. I also love Disney movies(and Disney in general) a whole lot.

I like all the big cable dramas most guys my age won't shut up about: The Wire, Breaking Bad, Deadwood, True Detective, stuff like that. I also watch the Daily Show a lot(and also super sad to see Jon go :(). Oh, and sometimes anime? Sometimes anime. I'm super into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

I like classic rock, 80s pop, 90s alternative, and some modern pop(but not much). I can get more specific if you want?

Food? Gosh, I can't really think of a particular cuisine I've tried that I DON'T like. My tastes range pretty international. Always up for trying a new burger joint, though. Also very into craft beer, and yeah, I can be a little snobby about it.

I like video games too! I play them a lot. I could go on forever, so ask if you want to talk about 'em!
Six things I could never do without
-private space, or at least the ability to have time to myself
-friends. I can get a little reclusive, but I get super depressed if I go too long without doing anything social
-exercise/working out. Only really started a few years ago, but once I got in shape I realized I pretty much always want to be that way
-yeah, okay, the internet. I'll admit I'm pretty dependent at this point.
-media/art/entertainment of some kind. It's important to me to keep experiencing new stories and find things to stimulate my brain parts.
-bulleted lists. I don't know, why six things? That's a weird number!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I daydream a lot, and have lots of stories running around in my head. Maybe one day I'll write them down if I can stop being embarrassed long enough.

Videogames, movies, books…any media that really sticks in my brain for a while. Sometimes it's something trivial, sometimes more thoughtful criticism or analysis.

Awkward social thoughts, like whether I should've said that thing I said, or if maybe someone took something the wrong way. I usually get over it pretty quick though.

Which pair of boots I should wear. (it's never not an important question!)

Oh, and sex. Probably I think about sex a lot.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't party much, but it's been known to happen! Usually I'm having a quiet night at home, catching up on watching, gaming, or reading. If not that, then I'm probably hanging out with friends, whether at a bar or someone's house.
You should message me if
You think we'd like each other and you wanna talk and see where it leads! Whether that ends up being a date, hooking up, or even just friends, I like to take some time to have a conversation with someone before jumping into anything.

Probably don't message me if you're really conservative, or very religious, or homophobic, or not a feminist? It likely won't go well.
