My self-summary
Been places. Done things. Usually wearing earth tones, great with dogs, and I guarantee your mom will love me.
What I’m doing with my life
At the moment I'm doing the gig thing while working in an academic administrative office.

By trade I'm an archaeologist, and am currently going for an advanced degree to get an advanced career.

I used to teach karate and hope one day that I can do that again. It was my favorite thing to do ever.

I'm always planning at least three trips, but sadly seldom go on them. I've been to some cool places though.

I want to be able to tell amazing stories. There are a few kinds of magic people are capable of. Excellent storytelling is one of them. Music is another. Can you play music? I can't. Music is seriously magical to me.
I’m really good at
Lots of stuff. Teaching, fixing things, jumping headfirst into situations, forgetting where I put my glasses, looking on the bright side of things, being in two different places at once, Scrabble.
The first things people usually notice about me
I would hope it's my nose. I'm pretty proud of it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read all sorts of things (mostly academic articles these days) and seem to enjoy most of it. One book that changed the way I see the world was American Gods (now a hit TV show). I like mythology, but have been reading a lot of non-fiction lately.

I rarely get a chance to watch movies or TV, sadly. However, I really liked the last few movies I saw (this generally holds true for whenever I say it).

I listen to all sorts of music. My favorite piece is Rhapsody in Blue, but then again, I did grow up in New York. My favorite song with words would have to be the Foo Fighters' Everlong or Oasis's Wonderwall.

It's rare that I'll eat something and not like it, and it's so hard to pick a favorite. I like simple things done well, like freshly baked bread or a good steak.
Six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What a fourth spatial dimension looks like. Whether I should try cooking that Korean recipe or not. How to extend the day to have extra hours.
On a typical Friday night I am
Wherever the wind takes me.
You should message me if
You kick all kinds of ass.
