My self-summary
I was born in the Bay Area from a French mother and a Czech father. I grew up speaking all three languages and am a French-American dual citizen. I also lived in Saudi Arabia as a toddler. This upbringing really set the stage for who I was to become. I lived in France (Paris & Toulouse) for 5 years (2 years in 6th and 7th grade, came back to the US and then went to college there), 2 years in London (Finished my degree at the London School of Economics) and 2 years in Brazil (recently returned. I worked in asset management and volunteered teaching English every other week in a favela.) I have traveled and lived around the world and have never found anywhere that compares to the Bay Area (although Hawaii really knocks it out of the park for me.) I still am and will probably remain an avid traveler. I am very adventurous, energetic and kind-hearted. I am open-minded and trust my intuition.

I am very passionate about kiteboarding and have a spiritual relationship with the ocean. I can be in the water for hours at a time, even without a wetsuit, just swimming. I also love the mountains and snowboarding. This season I want to try snow kiting. These two sports have given me even more tools, among other things, to have a positive outlook on life. When that cold summer wind kicks up in SF, I know I can ride it; when it is raining and miserable in the winter—even though I like rain—I know it will snow in Tahoe. If you haven’t gathered it already, I love sports and being outdoors.

Oh yeah… and I am SUPERSONIC excited the NFL season started!
What I’m doing with my life
Living the dream baby!! (that's kind of an inside joke.)

Besides that (or part of that), professionally I started my career moving up the ranks to become Executive Director of a non-profit (while teaching French to make extra cash), then worked for a start-up, and now I work for a M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) advisory for small and medium-sized tech companies.
I’m really good at
Still working on this...
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't really know, I Haven't polled anyone on that. However, a fair amount of people say that I have an accent when I first meet them, whether in French or English, but they can't tell from where. People that know me say I don't have an accent. This has always kind of puzzled me...

I have a very eclectic taste in music...

Slayer (yes, and with a passion, but I do not impose this on my surroundings) with that Metallica, Pantera, Deftones, Sepultura and all that stuff. I went to the Big 4 in April and it was awesome!

I play the bass (although I currently don't have one.) My idols are Les Claypool, Flea, Cliff Burton and Robert Trujillo.

Hip Hop (from before it died): The Roots, The Coup, NWA, Outkast, Wu Tang Clan, Souls of Mischief, A Tribe Called Quest, Beastie Boys, Goodie Mob, Nas, Dre, Snoop, De La Soul etc...

I love house, deep house, drum n bass and all that electronic feel good music. Definitely a vestige from my London and Paris days...

I love classical music: Beethoven and Mozart are at the top. My favorite movement is Vltava from Bedrich Smetana. I'm also a big fan of Dvorak. I even like Opera, but I can't listen to a whole opera, but the aria of 'Vesti la Giubba' (especially by Pavoratti) is one of the most powerful things I've heard.

And I can't leave out the French tunes: Serge Gainsbourg, NTM, iam, Charles Trenet, Charles Aznavour, Yves Montand, Bobby Lapointe, Georges Brassens...

I'm leaving out a lot...

I LOVE to cook. I grew up learning to cook à la française, but really enjoy making thai food and making stuff up or 'fusion' (the essence of French cooking.) Rain or shine I BBQ at least 3 times a week!
Six things I could never do without
Earth, WIND!!!, the ocean, a heart, a dream and some bad assness.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...what to put here.
On a typical Friday night I am
That depends... I'd like to believe there never is a typical Friday.

I enjoy going away for the weekend, so I'm often en route to that destination. This summer I camped a lot in the delta to kite at Sherman island, epic spot! I'm also up for going out and can be convinced to go big!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love orchids and like to garden. I know, I’m a dude… However, I think that is offset by recently completing Tough Mudder in Squaw Valley with my team and coming in the top 5% thereby qualifying for the World’s Toughest Mudder! Some might say that gives me an irrevocable man card.
You should message me if
-you want to. (What's the worst thing that can happen?)
-you have ANY suggestions on what I should be for Halloween.
