My self-summary
I am from Glasgow but living in the West Midlands. I still have the accent, thankfully.

I am a sarcastic and dryhumoured geek. I know plenty of stories, enough for most situations. Telling them is fun.

I am a lot clumsy. I run a lot. Currently I am significantly bearded.
What I’m doing with my life
Keeping it real. Accidentally becoming a manager, having to show responsibility and deal with lots of spreadsheets. Throwing down witty lines about people's faces or mother.

Usually I am planning some other big-backpack-type trip that will chop and change so many times before I arrange a different one as a last minute thing.
I’m really good at
Telling stories, I love a good story telling. I am good at listening and keeping track of a few conversations. Other people tell me I am good at photography. I can act really insulted which is always hilarious (for me). I freak people out by typing without looking at the keyboard and holding a conversation with them.

My friends will also insist I am good at getting injured.
The first things people usually notice about me
My flowing curly locks I suspect. Just before manical laughing and a Scottish/Scotch accent. Some people have commented on my posture being good.

When running it is that I am wearing shoes with toes on them.

A friend said I am "very sarcastic and very dry".
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I like Iain M Banks(mainly the Culture novels, favourite being Use of Weapons), Terry Pratchett, The Raw Shark Texts, Born to Run and Neil Gaiman. My favourite series is The Dark Tower.

Movies: True Romance, Pan's Labyrinth, Spirited Away, Fight Club, Event Horizon, Melancholia. Many things. I dig a lot of foreign films.

A bit of a mix. I used to listen to mainly metal, now I listen to mainly not metal.

Shows: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, Firefly, Venture Bros, Arrested Development, Daily Show, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, The League.

Food: In general, I like food. Spicy food is lovely. I can cook well, but rarely bother as it is too much effort to cook for myself. I eat a lot of veggie dishes as they taste good, vegetarians have complimented them. Just about any food plus wine. I run a lot to balance the eating of cake.
The six things I could never do without
music - I live with it everywhere, at home, running, in the car, walking the streets, in bed, on Tuesdays, dancing in the kitchen at 4am in thick socks so I slide along the floor. Music always comes first.

my Friends - These people make my life, all of them in their different shapes and faces and voices and skins. Worth more than all their flesh and blood combined in a big pot. Added bonus is they stop some of the more ridiculous things I attempt.

caffine - I will admit to being addicted to it. I am very bad at mornings.

computers - Geeeeeeeeeek. This also includes internet, as what use would an internet be without a computer to use for it? And modern computing is the internet.

A camera - I take plenty of photos. I really do mean plenty. Enjoying my EOS 50D right now.

Running shoes - I run a lot. Even if my shoes are barely there, I really like them. Getting back home with mud splattered all over them is great.

Honourable mentions go to Kindle, red wine and eye masks.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The next big trip.

How funny it is when I talk and use words that are Scottish.

Running routes.

The two inch rule where some men add two inches to their height, but women are aware of this. Should I add two inches to my height? If a woman sees that I have listed six foot, do they think "nah, he is five ten"? If I list six two, will it be expected I am six two or six foot?
On a typical Friday night I am

I usually go running on a Saturday morning so there is a lot of "One more, then I am going". I then have that one more and three after that to keep it company, the early night becomes early morning and I hate myself when I wake up to go running.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Some days I have ice cream for breakfast then go back to bed feeling guilty.
You should message me if
You are into travel, enjoy afternoons over caffinated drinks and able to stand some non-sensical conversations. Ability to tell stories is a plus. You can cope with bluntness.

The thought of getting up at 8am on a Saturday to go running does not scare you.
