I like to work out almost every day and I am attracted to women who are also fit. I am very active; in addition to working out, I dance a bit. I do Lindy Hop (swing dance) and I can do a few of the Latin dances. I travel a bit too; I have been to about 80 countries and most of the states. I even travel specifically to go to dance events in various places throughout the world. I am a city dweller and like to do things spontaneously in the city. I do not own a car, but I own a Harley. I am not a hardcore biker, I like to ride on the weekends; I take long trips: I have ridden from the East Coast to the West Coast from Washington DC to San Francisco and back stopping in various cities to dance at their local Swing dance ventures.
I have some college degrees including master’s level. I am not that interested in a person’s formal education—life education is more important to me. I like going to the movies and I like reading books too. I read mostly non-fiction books dealing with history or economics; I also read novels occasionally. I am a bit unorthodox so I like women who are also a bit unorthodox. I am attracted to people who are unusual, independent thinkers, and who are non-conforming. Mainly, I am looking for someone with whom I can discuss books read, movies seen, and ideas thought of, and/or dance with--I can teach you how to dance if you always wanted to, but never took the plunge.
I read two (2) or three (3) books a month so I have a lot of favorites--here are some recent (this year) favorites: Hamilton, by Ron Chernow, The New Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins, Slave Trade by Hugh Thomas, American Lion, Andrew Jackson in the White House by Jon Meacham, The Hidden Cost of Being African American, How Wealth Perpetuates Inequality by Thomas M. Shapiro, The Wolf of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort, The Match King, Ivar Kreuger, the Financial Genius Behind a Century of Wall Street Scandals by Frank Partnoy, Misquoting Jesus, the Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why by Bart D. Ehrman, John Brown, Abolitionist - The Man Who Killed Slavery, Sparked the Civil War, and Seeded Civil Rights by David S. Reynolds
I like foreign and independent films and comedies. You can find me at the E Street Theater where I watch films like Lore, The Place Beyond the Pines, Stoker, Rust and Bone, In The Land of Blood and Honey, First Position and many more.
I mostly watch news and sit-coms. I guess one counter balances the other. Dateline, The Big Picture with Thom Hartman, The Max Keiser Report, Dateline, Mad Money
The Big Bang Theory, The Middle, Modern Family, The Goldbergs, Blackish, Mom
The good news is that I do not have cable so I only watch free tv.
I love going to live theater and I go to Las Vegas to see the shows. My favorite shows ever are: Lion King, Wicked, Chicago, The Jersey Boys and in Las Vegas any Cirque du Soleil production, but especially KA and Elvis.
