I am looking for a woman who is comfortable in her own shoes who likes spirited talk, some good times, and enjoys life.
I am overweight, but I recently got a wake-up call. I have started to try to eat better, and actually exercise at least 3 times a week. So far I have lost 13 lbs in 2 months. I wouldn't mind someone who wants someone to work out with them. But I am a work in progress.
I like to think I am funny, witty, smart, and charming. I LOVE the banter between men and women who don't realize they are in love yet (think Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally." I will tease you more the more I like you. I EXPECT you to tease me back and more.
I am shy, but not. Confident but not. Independent but not. Single but....Yeah I am still single.
And for fun, my original note:
Hi, it's me. I may be that bad idea that seems like a good idea at the time. Or I may be the best kept secret this side of the Atlantic. I am not too scary, so you might as well take a chance. Oh, and I am VERY ticklish, if that helps. And I tend to think I am funnier than I really am. Short answer is that I am just a single guy with no drama looking for some company. Laters, and give me a once-over!
Some people say it's a waste. I know it got off to a turtle-with a limp start. But I have no worry lines and no drama, a way to get around, a roof over my head that's mine, and making some money. It's not so bad. Would it be TOO corny if I said I was looking for you? Basically, I am making do, and liking it!
It's not sports. As much as I would like to say otherwise, I have the grace of a tipsy monkey.
I seem to be good at saying what I am lousy at. So I guess enough of that and on to the good stuff!
I would have to say I have a firm grasp of trivia, a quirky sense of humor, and a spirit you can't beat down. On top of that, I am a pretty good listener, and I have an eye for all things geeky!
It really is my smile. My smile gets into my eyes, and is the window into my soul. Ok, so maybe it's my eyes. Truth be told, I never asked anybody what my best feature is. Maybe I should take a poll.
TV: Big Bang Theory, West Wing, Lost, My Name is Earl, and just about anything Sci Fi. If it's reality, I avoid it, and then beat it down with a stick. I'll watch the Vikings too, but I am the biggest Twins geek. I will usually at least have the game on and doing something else.
Movies: Princess Bride, Contact, Harry Potter, and Cutting Edge. Anything sci fi, lots of cheesy comedies, and the complete works of Kevin Smith (although the Mallrats DVD is still in plastic wrap). I tend to have DVD's instead of files. There's something nice about physically holding it, as opposed to downloading a file. The point is, I have a LOT of movies to share along with an empty couch. Although I am not crazy about horror.
Food: Yes. Actually, I will try nearly anything, but I am most comfortable with the comfort foods (amazing, that!) Pizza, a good hamburger, ribs, and chicken. Needless to say, I am also now trying to drive my weight done. I am getting used to regular exercise, and amazingly, it's not killing me. Go figure....
Music: If it has a beat, I can dance badly to it. I will listen to nearly anything, although both rap and hip-hop are never my first choice. But I tend to prefer 80's stuff, country, and classic rock. I never really fell in love with one type of music or group, so most of my tastes have come later, and usually started by other people. Although you should see me press buttons on Rock Band. You'd think I was a natural.
2. A good book to read. And I will re-read a book again and again.
3. That glint in my eye that gets me into trouble
4. A good soft pillow for a proper nap!
5. A really good pizza. I never met a pizza I didn't like.
6. A list of my 5 essential things clutched desperately in my hand.
I realized there were no people on the list. It makes me a bit worried that I am way too comfortable being alone. The habits we people can get into.....
