My self-summary
I'm just your average Hip Hop Junkie/Recording Artist & MC/Political Activist & Consultant/Computer Programmer & Graphic Designer/Freelance Journalist/Obsessive Book Nerd. Yea I know; kind of boring and run-of-the-mill, but I am what I am :) Oh yea; I'm also half Gypsy, which I dig. (And yes, Gypsies are real. It's not just a term for people who move a lot.)

Additionally I'm infinitely curious with some oddly wide ranging interests including Political Activism, Hip Hop Culture, Sociology, Philosophy, Art, Journalism, Anthropology, Graphic Design, Web Programming, Billie Holliday, Rita Hayworth, Politics, Languages, Writing, and Boxing . In the interests of full disclosure, Boxing is a very serious addiction. I'm a born fight junkie... and no, that does not include MMA...
What I’m doing with my life
After serving as the State IT Director in Georgia for President Barack Obama's campaign, I joined a Political Consultancy group and now work way more than full time as a professional political hack consulting to campaigns, designing and building websites, technology, online platforms and solutions for various campaigns and PACs nationwide.
I’m really good at
Writing is my primary passion. Songs, creative pieces, spoken word, articles etc... I have a deep obsession with the English language on paper.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my eyes. They shift between bluish-hazel to hazel-green... it's the Gypsy blood I guess. Otherwise, after a life spent on stage performing, when I'm out and about I prefer to do the noticing and choose when I'm noticed ...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a huge reader, shamelessly addicted to books. My favorite author is Hunter S. Thompson and most everything he's written is on my favorite books list. Fave books:

Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail - Hunter S Thompson
The God Delusion - Richard Dawkins
A Brief History of Time - Stephen Hawking
A Peoples History of the United States - Howard Zinn
Stranger in a Strange Land - Robert Heinlein
Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them - Al Franken
Assata an Autobiography - Assata Shakur
Live From Death Row - Mumia Abu Jamal
Executing Justice - Daniel R Williams
Facing Ali - Stephen Brunt

Music is a gigantic part of my life, and my tastes are pretty wide ranging but at my core I'm a die hard unabashed and unapologetic Hip Hop head. Artists dominating my iTunes:

1. The album "Billie Holiday Sings" by Miss Billie Holiday
2. A Notebook
3. The novel "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Robert Heinlein.
4. Ring Magazine (Serious Boxing Addict)
5. The Movie "Waking Life"
6. Photoshop (I'm an Adobe junkie...)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics & Civil Rights....

How lucky we are that Billie Holiday existed, music today would be weird if everyone influenced by Billie, hadn't been.

How much it sucks Mitch Hedberg died so young.

The absurdity of 2000 years of Christian and Muslim wars when the most quoted prophet in the Qur'an (besides Mohammed of course) is Jesus Christ.

That if it wasn't for artists like Brother Ali, Atmosphere, Immortal Technique, Blu, Qwel and Tonedef, Hip Hop would almost certainly be dead by now... and sadly most of you reading this have no idea who any of them are...

What the world looked like to Hunter S. Thompson...

The impact of American arrogance and imperialism...

Why people who've accomplished so little always seem to feel so entitled...
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually watching Friday Night Fights (I'm a huge Boxing addict) and doing some work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm absolutely terrified by bats. Completely phobic.

*Unexpectedly, more than a few people have asked me if this is actually true... I didn't think it seemed sarcastic or like a blow-off answer, but it seems some people think it is. I assure you it's quite true... so do not throw a bat at me, because I will fuck you up. :)

**Even more unexpectedly, it seems some people who've read the above think I might be referring to baseball bats. I am not. I mean flying, echo-locating, rabies carrying bats. (see: if you are in any way possibly still confused)

*** To be fair, a phobia of baseball bats would be way more unique and probably more interesting though.
You should message me if
you've read this far down the page, then stop lying to yourself because you're clearly interested :)
