I also like movies. You know... Like, like. I seriously enjoy critiquing, analyzing, and discussing them. If you're a nerd about *something*, we will probably get along.
Being self-conscious about dancing but doing it anyway.
Oh, karaoke! No really, I'm kind of a big deal.
I am also actually a really good listener. I like it when people come to me with their problems, not because I think I have good advice or can solve them, but because it means they trust me enough to talk about them. I don't judge people for their mistakes because I know I'm no better.
I really frickin' love ska and I refuse to apologize for it. I also still love Blink-182, Green Day, and Weezer. More recently (sort of), Vampire Weekend, Gorillaz, Flogging Molly, The Fratellis, The Strokes, Spoon, Childish Gambino, Miike Snow, Florence + the Machine. I have pretty eclectic taste, I just tend to stay away from the radio so I don't hear good new stuff until it's been out for a while.
In Bruges, Birdman, Super, Guardians of the Galaxy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Casablanca, Brick, The Prestige, Big Trouble in Little China, The Thing, Alien and Aliens, Nightcrawler, Drive, Mad Max: Fury Road, Shaun of the Dead, The World's End, Snatch, John Wick, Die Hard, Star Wars IV and V, Oldboy, Jaws, The Princess Bride, Groundhog Day, Dr. Strangelove
East of Eden, Catch-22, The Shining, Fight Club, The Phantom Tollbooth, Watchmen, V For Vendetta, The Dark Knight Returns, Dune, World War Z, The Hobbit, Mistborn
Eyeholes. Being able to see things is pretty dope. Beauty is everywhere.
My brain meats. I need 'em to crack wise and remember lyrics. I guess they probably do other stuff too.
My homies. The family you get to choose.
Art. I need stimulation or I go nuts. Books, movies, video games, TV shows, plays, music, stuff on canvases. The ways in which we examine the human condition.
Communication. Every animal utilizes some form of communication. It doesn't even have to be audible. The moment I no longer need this is the moment I'm the last sapient creature on earth.
Do all the people who answer "Yes" to the question "Do you think the world would be a better place if people with low IQ's were not allowed to reproduce," actually support a Third Reich-inspired eugenics program? 2016 tells me the answer is probably yes.
Why the fuck are all these women taking profile selfies in public restrooms?
How can I rope these people I just met into playing board games with me?
How much longer can humanity pretend that our current rate of consumption of resources is sustainable?
Whether any of these questions are depressing and/or off-putting to people who don't know me. The world may never have an answer.
Otherwise movies/TV and beer.
Or Bob Ross painting and beer.
Scotch...? And beer?
Joking aside, anything with people that allows for fun times and good conversation is all I ask for.
You're able to hold a conversation.
You can make me laugh.
You like to dress up for a night out.
You drink whiskey and love Die Hard.
You've ever thought seriously about how you would survive a zombie outbreak.
