My self-summary
I make my own biscotti and know a fair bit about myths.
What I’m doing with my life
It's ok, I work.
I’m really good at
Well, my main party trick involves spinning theories involving evolutionary ecology and/or Republicans.

Fighting kitchen entropy.
The first things people usually notice about me
People think I'm from Oregon, but I'm not. I'm from here.
That said, having been away from a while and now coming back, it feels a lot more like Oregon than I remember it being.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Lonesome Dove, Wallace Stegner and increasingly stuff from his Fellows, Peter Carey, Mary Beard, Red Doc (Time Passes Time), Graham Robb (except the last one), Rick Bass, Lucia Berlin and sometimes Matt Ridley. I find I really enjoy non-fiction books that are basically long concatenations of mini-biographies like "The Prize" and "Lawrence in Arabia". I used to write historical fiction involving mopey US presidents, and then I turned them into podcasts, and then I forgot about them until now as I promote them again.

I've watched a lot of movies and am a really great listener!
Also, I have an IMDB and I really like the Eels.

TV: If you listen carefully, about 10% of what I say is from either Futurama or Arrested Development. A lot of the rest is from Charlie Rose. Probably relevant - I had a crush on Bri from Master Chef Season 4.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What question I answered that qualified me as "less kind."
F*** that algorithm.

[Edit] Interesting...I am now "more kind". I am pretty certain that flip resulted after answering one additional question: I said I liked to watch documentaries. I think that may have also made me less ambitious.
You should message me if
The sun is bigger and the rest doesn't really matter.
