My self-summary
Hi everyone. You can call me Michael. I just moved here in September. I can be really off the wall and a lot of fun. And I can also be really chill, quiet, and introspective. If anything I'd call myself dynamic as well as intuitive. I really care about the deeper issues in the world and developing strong relationships in my life. Just trying to figure out this 20's thing and where to go forward, but it feels like it's coming together. If your'e interested in chatting, please message me. I like meeting new people.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working with a group canvassing for Obama in the upcoming election called Colorado Fair Share. It's a temporary job I'm doing and I actually kind of like it. Although politically, I'm far more of a leftist and progressive than Obama. Yes you're talking with a hippie essentially who thinks our main priority should be sustainability w/ the environment, equality, love, peace for all, balance of powers, . Ultimately I like to work on my writing a lot. I graduated school back in December with a degree in Anthropology and Psychology. Still trying to figure out what I ultimately want to do with my life so I am taking the time for myself now to just focus on me and the goals I want to pursue.
I’m really good at
I'm good at being empathetic and understanding others. I'm good at picking up when the pieces fall apart never letting anything pull me down completely. I'm intelligent, philosophical, passionate, and spiritual. I'm really good conversation, anything outdoors, adventuring, exploring the other side of day.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my desire to be courteous or do the right thing. I have a sense of humor and can laugh at myself for most anything. I like making inappropriate jokes. Lol this is starting to sound slightly contradictory, but yes I try to make jokes while still maintaining a level of politeness. I talk a lot and am a good conversationalist. I have a developing sense of understanding human nature and always the strive for more depth and more truth.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is tough. I read a lot. If I were to rank my favorite reads, I'd say The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky. Life of Pi by Yann Martel. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Nietzsche. The Tao te Ching and the Chuang Tzu. His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman. Ishmael by Daniel Quinn.

Movies I'd have to go w/ as cheesy as it is and as terrible as Keanu Reeves is, The Matrix trilogy. Awesome philosophy. V for Vendetta. The Breakfast Club. Waking Life. Full Metal Jacket. Uzumaki. Contact. Lord of the Rings. Star Wars. I <3 Huckabees

TV Shows. Mad Men. South Park. Arrested Development. 30 Rock. Fullmetal Alchemist. Death Note. Community. Dexter, but I haven't watched all of it.

Music is tough, I like a lot of stuff so here's a sample. Animal Collective, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Muse, Crystal Castles, Royskopp, Mumford and Sons, Puscifer, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Ratatat, The Flaming Lips, Battles, Grizzly Bear, Telepopmusik.

And food, I like everything, I'm getting more into healthier food and more into vegetarian options, however, I'm not too strict. I really like seafood, mexican, indian, thai, pasta, breakfast food, whatever, just ask, I probably like it. I eat a lot despite my size. Yes I'm one of those people =P
The six things I could never do without
1. Food
2. Music
3. Philosophy or contemplation
4. Companionship/Friendship
5. Nature
6. Art
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The universe, physics, history, religion, politics, spirituality, what the fuck I'm going to do with my life, traveling, the past, the future, try to focus on the present, the environment, my friends, the state of the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Well right now it's pretty random. I may be working. Ideally going on an adventure somewhere new. Or going out somewhere chill where I can learn something or be exposed to something cool.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've done hallucinogens and think they can be mind-expanding spiritual experiences when done in the right mindset and with the right intention.
You should message me if
You are open-minded and genuinely interested in exploring the depths of yourself and this existence. That's pretty much it. And interested in genuinely relating, growing, and evolving. Otherwise I'm pretty open. I always like to learn about people who are different than me, but genuinely want a relationship, by that I mean we're relating not necessarily implying a deeper sexual romantic relationship, though I'd be open to one of those too.
