My self-summary
I'm an ex Long Islander who visited LA when I was little and made it my mission to get back out here to live.

I'm a typical geek. I tend to be better with computers than I am with people - but I'm working on that. I'm looking to meet some new people to hang out with - be it going to some new restaurant, finding a spot with a great view of LA, or just chill and watch tv or listen to music.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a web designer/developer currently working in a marketing agency.

When I'm able to get out of work early enough, I try to spend a few nights a week at a boxing gym - but since starting this new job, that's been a bit rough.

I'm attempting to learn Japanese during my commute to work - and hope to get to Japan in the next couple of years.

I sometimes take photos of people/places/things (and some people actually even like the results), but need to do this way more often.
The first things people usually notice about me
I tend to come off as a bit imposing I guess. Although I tend to be quiet, I seem to make an impression.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Dark City, Tron, The Matrix (yes, even the sequels), Avengers, Thor, Captain America, Road House, Die Hard, I could be here all night if I try to type them out individually...
I'm a big-time sci-fi, martial arts and mindless action movie junkie. Chances are, if it's one of those types of movies, I'll go see it when it comes out.

I also have this... sickness? where I absolutely have to stop and watch if I'm flipping through the channels and see that Point Break is on.

Game of Thrones, Dexter, Homeland (please oh please let Dana disappear), New Girl, Walking Dead, Person of Interest, Elementary, Sherlock, I'm in the middle of a Dr Who marathon on netflix since I fell a bit far behind, Misfits, way too many shows that SyFy cancelled way too early, occasional crime shows, but generally mostly anything Sci-fi and/or action, with the occasional sprinkling of train wreck tv.

NIN, Muse, Depeche Mode, Paul Oakenfold, Conjure One, Imagine Dragons, Metric, Fluke, Stabbing Westward, deadmau5, The Dreaming, Jonathan Coulton, She Wants Revenge, MS MR, some old Iron Maiden & Metallica, Old Run DMC, Public Enemy - Kinda all over the place, although I could sit and listen to Assemblage 23 pretty much all day every day.

I'm also a sucker for a good cover song, especially one that's better than the original... and no, Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt does NOT fall in to that category thankyouverymuch.
Six things I could never do without
Like everyone, Food, water, air...

but seriously
My camera
My computer
My friends
My music
My other gadgets
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where the 6th thing I could never do without went... and other assorted odd things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends, at the movies, or just settling in for a night of gaming.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am currently learning Shibari for fun and profit... well, maybe not profit just yet, but for fun and photography purposes.
You should message me if
You're curious/interested and want to? I mean... why else would you message someone?

Unless it's to be an ass... if that's the case, please don't bother.
