My self-summary
Living in Haiphong. I came here to learn how to teach English. Things seem to be working out with that endeavour. Long-term, I plan to go back to Europe.

I appear lazy but am always at work on one thing or another.

I've had more than 40 jobs to support my life as a musician/creative type. The variety of jobs is staggering. How did I manage to get into the entertainment business, legal, financial, hospitality, and Information Technology - among the many industries? Was I really a dedicated government worker at one time? Yes! I don't get this about myself, except to say I did what I could to put a roof over my head and have something to eat, and I am fascinated by everything. I always felt like I was a sociologist doing field work when I had a 'normal' job. If you want a corporate type, look elsewhere.

I have often been a trouble-maker. Sometimes for the excitement, other times to do the right thing. I despise bullies and have taken down a few. Some bullies have exacted revenge on me. On that note, I am an American citizen in exile and will probably not return there. The US is a bad neighborhood in my experience.

I'm a scarred warrior - looking to relax. Wiser and funkier...

I want to settle somewhere and have a nest. Spain has been in my sights for years now. That dream does not fade. I may have a detour in the Czech Republic. I love Prague and always wanted to live there for a time.
What I’m doing with my life
Lowering stress.
I’m really good at
Lots of things, and just okay at a lot more. I look at systems and my part in them.
The first things people usually notice about me
My lazy eye.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Explorer. Not too stuck on favorites. But I have my little things I like. Whatever good that is available.

I prefer American music, but nothing new. I play and write rock music fairly well. I like bits of everything related to Blues, Rock, Funk, R&B, Jazz, Country. Electric guitar, played well, is what drives me.

If you like mushy meaningless love songs or 'chick flicks', we will have a difficult time communicating. That said, a great love song with depth and simplicity can bring me to tears. Example: I have no patience for low-rent fake emotional crap. "I detest cheap sentiment." - (Bette Davis)

I'm a foodie and a pretty decent cook.
Six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music and stories. Life, friends, past events, where we are as a species. I'm a critical thinker and need the same from my partner. I watched the world around me collapse in the US and took notice. Western 'culture' ate itself and now white guys from my demographic are killing themselves in droves. Rome's burning and I'm happy some folks are aware of that. I think a lot about who is awake and who is asleep. I think of how stupid people are because we've let the worst among us control things. I think about how I love kids because their minds are not ruined yet.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't live a normal schedule.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit discussed with loved ones.
You should message me if
Contact me if you think we have something to talk about and you can communicate well on many levels. Unfortunately, I can only speak English fluently. Do you know when a few kind words make all the difference in the world? If so, I want to hear from you.

Don't contact me if you are controlling or careless with loved ones. If you cling to your smartphone, your arms won't be available to hold me close, so please don't call.
