My self-summary
I know how to have fun and do so frequently. Challenges are welcome - the ordinary not so much.
I've lived and traveled all over, such that I'm comfortable just about anywhere; but adventures are usually more fun with an adventurous partner.
I love to run, swim, bike, hike, and generally take in the outdoors. At the same time, the NY'r in me loves cities and couldn't live far from a major one.
Simply put, life is too short not to live out loud and constantly learn.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm generally working - I enjoy my work, so that's not a bad thing - or having adventures with family and friends, exercising, consuming some deliciousness, exploring the world, or cheering for the Giants or the Warriors.
I’m really good at
Listening. Learning. Living. Massage.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes? My intensity.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm pretty eclectic.

My favorite author is Mark Helprin, although much of my time is spent with the New York Times and New Yorker. Most recent reading lists have included everything from Game of Thrones to Dan Brown's latest novel, Inferno; to Siddhartha, Team of Rivals, etc.

Music: I'm all over the map. Huge appreciation for classic and smooth jazz, classic rock, hip hop, and classical music. I love going to shows and dancing. I also dig the spectacle of opera.
Six things I could never do without
Real laughs, real smiles, real beauty, real friends, real purpose - and the ability not to take all those realities too seriously
Really good food and beverages
My next adventure, foreign or domestic
The New Yorker, NY Times, NPR, The Daily Show.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I'm spending too much time being distracted by this funky website.

You're not hung up on the convention that men should reach out first, and you're eager to have a great conversation, regardless of where things go from there.
