I usually come off as extremely straight-laced (my nervous reaction to meeting women), but that has a tendency to fall apart if/when I casually mention something conspicuously and (hopefully) humorously obscene.
No one has ever accused me of being boring. I like adventures (who doesn't), but most of my time is taken up with work and practicing (music).
I study, perform, and teach classical music, so it has a way of permiating every part of my life.
I enjoy learning and spending time with people that can expand my horizons.
I have various random interests including - but not limited to- language, philosophy, photography, movies ect. I believe in self-motivated, undying curiosity.
"I’m inclined to reserve all judgments, a habit that has opened up many curious natures to me and also made me the victim of not a few veteran bores."
TV Shows: Firefly, Band of Brother's, Breaking Bad, Lie To Me, Rome, GOT, and I do enjoy Star Trek (but I'm not a Trekkie)
Music: Classical, Beatles, Radiohead, ABBA, Queen, Imogen Heap, Regina Spektor, The Kings of Convenience, The Boys of the Lough, Edith Weins, Yascha Heifetz, Itzhak Perlman, Rachel Podger, Urubamba, Yuri Bashmet, Opera, Bach, Hesperion XXI, Arthur Rubinstein. Chopin! Lots of other stuff ...
What I expect from someone I would date:
"Physical attractiveness, intelligence, honesty and frankness, ethics (eg non assholery at least most of the time), competence, some form of ambition, interesting hobbies/pastimes, musicality, and a compatible sense of humor." -Sayornis (I just happen to agree with her)
