My self-summary
Hey! Nice to meet you. I'm open-minded, smart, and never condescending. I will genuinely care about your life and your thoughts.

It's important to me to remove complications and stress from my life. I know people who invite many burdens into their life, and I always wonder why.

It's also important to me never to eat olives.

Otherwise, I love food. Fine cuisine, burrito from Chipotle, McRib from McD's. I pay attention to my health though... I may be a foodie, but I don't want to get so huge that I implode like some sort of dying nerdstar.

I'm young at heart. I take care of responsibilities, but I can't give up the part of me that looks in wonder at things in the civilized world, the part that drives my passions.
What I’m doing with my life
I worked for several game companies, and in 2014 I started my own indie game development company to pursue that life-long dream. At the end of 2015 I released my company's first game!

I also entertain myself endlessly, usually with friends around to bear witness and to be entertained themselves.

Self-improvement is an important goal for me, whether through diet/exercise or reading more about philosophy or the world itself.

I own a house and pay my bills on time. That's so hot right now.
I’m really good at
Solving complex problems, giving you a hug, remembering important things, remembering useless things, video games, paying attention to people, being tactful, scarfing down mushroom-swiss burgers.

I can make an awesome steak, good pancakes or crepes, and a tasty margarita!
The first things people usually notice about me
Either my height, or my eyes, or the fact that I hate shaving and sometimes only do it like once a week...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have many favorites in these categories, so if you could forgive the wall of text and trust that I really really tried...

Books: I'm a huge fan of well-developed plot twists. The Martian, Ender's Game, Foundation, Flowers for Algernon.

Movies: LotR, Matrix, Star Wars (yes, the trinity). All the Marvel movies. My favorite comedies are Team America, Bridesmaids, and Austin Powers, though I recently saw What We Do In The Shadows and completely lost my mind laughing. Big Hero 6 and Incredibles. I love movies!

TV: Rick & Morty is my favorite show. I also love Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Flash, Arrow, Downton Abbey, Mad Men, Family Guy, South Park, New Girl, Arrested Development. TV has gotten seriously great.

Games: Zelda, Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Metroid, Assassin's Creed. Just the tip of the iceberg though.

Music: older Muse, Moby, Nightwish, Steve Jablonsky, Yasunori Mitsuda, Shiny Toy Guns, Infected Mushroom, Metric, Orbital... I love music with many layers that all work together, and apparently I also like modal harmonies. Thank pandora.com for that analysis :).

Food: ALL kinds. Salmon sushi, a medium-rare filet mignon, or perfectly seared foie gras are always good, and my favorite restaurant is Fearing's in uptown Dallas. I strike a balance between going with foods I've enjoyed before and experimenting with new (sometimes even scary) menu items.
The six things I could never do without
Computers (or internet), movies, central air, games, great food, driving.

Naturally, I'm not answering this in terms of basics like "water" or "family and friends".
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Those goddamn olives.

Also about my life, where I want it to go, and where it might actually take me. I strive to put things in place that will allow me to take advantage of opportunities when they arise.

I think about the latest plot twist in some show I'm enjoying. Or maybe what to put into my pit barrel cooker next... mmm...

I think about numbers all the time. I form patterns out of words, images, everything. I'm doing that as I type this, wtf!!
On a typical Friday night I am
Plotting, with fingers steepled and eyebrows furrowed.

If not that, I'm very often out with friends doing something. It could be going out to dinner, seeing a movie at the Alamo, invading a friend's place for beers or wine and playing games, grabbing coffee someplace cool, or going to a late night at the Perot or DMA.

Of course... I'd be remiss not to mention occasionally (often) plopping into my couch and checking out the latest Redbox or streaming feature.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
On here? Probably that one of my all-time favorite animated movies is Frozen. Or that I may or may not own the Blurays of all the Michael Bay Transformers movies, on purpose.
You should message me if
