My self-summary
NOTA BENE: If you like me on the quick match, message me!! I want to know who is liking my profile

I am looking for someone to hangout with and have a good time. If it leads to more, I'd be open to the possibility. I am intelligent, compassionate, and opinionated, so, ladies, if that appeals to you, drop me a message!

Btw, if you find me interesting and notice I am online, do not be afraid to IM me on here. I enjoy having conversations with people.

I guess my self summary is incomplete. My name is Joe. I am a bit of a geek and am a major professional wrestling fan. I love having long discussions on politics, religion, economics, science and philosophy. I was born and raised Lutheran (ELCA). Even though I am limited by my lack of sight, it does not mean that I am totally helpless. My main limitation, albeit one of the most frustrating ones at times, is that I cannot (or should not *lol*) drive. Even though I am majoring in the Humanities, I am, fundamentally, a man of science by nature. The only reason I have not considered a major in the sciences is due to my difficulties with labs.

I am a teetotaler. I do not drink alcohol and am not comfortable around it. No tobacco, no alcohol, no illegal drugs. Also, I cannot be around cats. It is not that I dislike them- I love animals and cats can be adorable- rather that I am rather allergic to them.

I do prefer black women, just so you know. It is not a fetish or anything weird like that. I've just had more positive experiences with blacks that I've met than I've had with people from my own racial background.

One thing that totally confuses me since I joined here is why many of the women on here who are plus-size feel they need to underscore that fact in their profiles. Most of us can make a pretty good guess as to your body build if you have a good profile picture, event those of us (such as myself) who are blind *lol* Trust me, as a guy, I gotta say that I highly doubt many of us are really attracted to the skinny size zeros. If you mention something about media/popular culture, fuck them! If you are skinny and healthy, be happy with that. If you are chubby and healthy, be happy with that. Being able to do the things you enjoy in life is what is important.

Personally, I am more attracted to fuller figured women (BBW, curvy, full figured, chubby, whatever terms you prefer to use). Bigger women can be very beautiful and belly can be cute if you ask me.
What I’m doing with my life
Working and getting settled into my new apartment. It is coming together quite nicely
I’m really good at
-being compassionate
-being romantic
-discussing politics, religion, history, or language
-being funny
-finding weird or funny or interesting things on the internet (from a fully livable house under 200 square feet to tasty recipes, from hilarious anime to well written, thought provoking documentaries, and everything in between)
-I am a very loving and gentle soul, who is also capable of being a smartass when the need arises.
The first things people usually notice about me
Besides what I listed in the my details section? I am legally blind, and use a cane to navigate, but sometimes my hands are so full, that it gets hard to navigate sometimes. However, if you can get past that, you'll (hopefully) find a nice, funny guy who is interesting to talk to. Don't be surprised if I make (several) lame jokes about my sight, or lack thereof. I am often asked how much I can see, with my typical response being "enough to get me into trouble... not enough to get me out! *haha*

I've been told by many people that I have a nice smile and am a very joyful and friendly young man. My parents have told me I have perfect ears and many people, young and old, male and female, have said I have beautiful eyes.

I can also be somewhat shy, so if I have checked out your profile, but not messaged you, I might be trying to work up the courage to message you. Feel free to message me to break the ice- I won't bite, but I'll most certainly respond.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Zatch Bell, the first two seasons of Digimon, most 80s and 90s era programming (when Disney channel still had cartoons and good movies, when History Channel was actually about history), Power Rangers. Impact Wrestling, WWE Raw/Smackdown, old AWA matches on ESPN Classic.

Update: I like The Middle, Cristella, Last Man Standing, and Forever

I like country and rock, and I happen to be a bass-baritone, thus I tend to find sopranos and tenors to be grating to the ear- especially when they hit the high notes!

I like most foods, but I don't care for raw onions, celery, or green peppers that much... picky, picky *lol* As for specific cuisines- I like German, Chinese, Italian, Thai/Vietnamese (I love Kindho- a Vietnamese/Thai restaurant in Uptown Minneapolis). I like Italian sodas and various types of coffee/latte/mocha/capuccino (sp?).

My favorite meals are either hotdishes (or, as some call them, casseroles) or boneless porkchops cooked in a cream of mushroom soup gravy with rice (I really, really like rice).

Warning, I do like lutefisk, lefse, headcheese, and pickled herring.

Movies? [Insert action/adventure or comedy here] I especially like Inspector Gadget, Gladiator, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Seven Samurai is a great movie, if you don't mind black and white subtitled movies. I also like the movie Amal, which I have my psychology professor to thank for introducing me to it

As for books, I like reading a lot of books on language creation, world building, and writing techniques. Beyond that, perusing the Perseus Digital Library, The Latin Library, and the Internet Sacred Text Archive can be very interesting.

When it comes to my favorite news sources, I'll watch just about anything- CNN, BBC, RT, or English language Al Jazeera, rarely Fox News or MSNBC though. I do like 60 Minutes and 20/20, having watched those as a kid (RIP Andy Rooney :( ).
Six things I could never do without
My family
My friends
My faith in God
My Bible
My long white cane
My magnifier
Paper and pencils
A couple stuffed animals (i.e. teddy bears and such)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I'll be able to find a gf who lives nearby. It has been a couple years since I've been in a real life dating relationship. I kinda miss having someone to hangout with and to cuddle with, tbh. However, I don't plan on walking down the aisle yet, I want to make sure I can help support a household to the best of my ability before considering marriage. Especially since I hope to have a large family someday (at least 3-4 kids, hopefully more).

Religion and politics, mainly. Whether or not I am following God's will in my life. I also like to create languages and fictional worlds in my spare time. I also like to think about micronationalism and what my ideal country would be like- I've got some ideas sketched out about what it would be like.
On a typical Friday night I am
Surfing the web, working on schoolwork (papers, reading assignments, et cetera), or watching professional wrestling- or any combination thereof. Possibly chatting with my cousin, Quasispill on Facebook, or chatting with other friends on Skype or Facebook.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like it when girls take initiative and make the first move when flirting. I want a confident girl in my life :)

I believe the wrestler CM Punk phrased it best- "I lack a filter between my brain and my mouth." You know how most people have that voice in them that says, "I would not say that out loud if I were you"? Well, mine is defective or nonexistant.
You should message me if
You think I am interesting enough to have checked out my profile. I reply often. If you want to chat over email, Skype, or Facebook, let me know- if I think there might be a connection, I'll add you.
