My self-summary
This is how my profile would read if I typed it on my iPhone and didn't fix the autocorrect errors:

I lik o have fun. I'm looking for someone to share the adventure with me, someone with good Valium who prioritizes love and family, and who can also laugh, appreciate sarcasm, and go out and have a god time. I hop to find someone who's interred and interesting, who can tase life seriously when necessary, but generally be easygoing and upbeat. I want someone who treats me well, but i dont need to be soiled all the time. My work is impotent to me, but even more important is enjoying life. I think the world is an amazing, ridiculous platypus and I can't wait to see what it has to offer next.

F'rrealz, I'm looking for someone I would describe as exceptional, who I can respect and who knows what it means to be a good man/woman. I believe that being considerate and treating each other well is the cornerstone of a good relationship. I hope to find this in a partner/lover and you can expect the same from me.

Additionally, looking for someone who is sexually open and confident. I don't mind being tossed around a bit and wouldn't mind doing some tossing ;)

Weird is good.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to bring as much humor into my life as possible, by reading it, writing it, watching it, living it

Lots of yoga, live music, and hanging out with my puppy
I’m really good at
Finding my ideal partner. Oh wait...
The first things people usually notice about me
My refusal to answer this douchey question.

Also that I'm a 50 year old black man.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Musically - Best shows in recent memory: of monsters and men, old Abrams brown, calexico, frightened rabbit, ani difranco. I love going to shows and finding new good music. I will alway love Paul Simon and van Morrison.

Televisionally - the Simpsons, archer, homeland, and my secret pop culture indulgence, glee.

Bookishly - most recent reads/currently reading: everything is illuminated, a confederacy of dunces, founding brothers, moby dick, lots of thich nhat hanh, brothers karamazov, the iliad, the republic, seriously...i'm kidding, don't worry it gets worse, the insanity defense, 1q84, cat's cradle, the best american short stories 2011, the art of happiness, siddhartha, heretics, bossypants, wonderbook

Cinematograohically - any powerful story that can be told with humor. This goes for books, too
The six things I could never do without
How about six "essential" things that I have done without

1. Shoes - for two months
2. Oxygen - for one minute blindfolded 145 feet under water
3. A phone - for sixteen months
4. Communication with my friends and family - for 3 weeks, twice
5. A fully functioning brain - for 3 months
6. Conversation in a language I understood - for 4 days
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Humanity, humility, sex, love, passion, ambition, intelligence, indifference, clarity, certainty, freedom, fallability, truth, integrity, followers, leaders, dreamers, thinkers, believers. Big ideas, small ideas, what makes someone a force in the world and others fade away. What making a difference and having an impact means. Evolution and stagnation. Breathing. Purpose, meaning, beauty, compassion. Friendship and betrayal. Connections. Beauty, mortality, morality. Old souls and what makes them stand out. Excitement, meditation, tranquility. Science and silence, exploration, emotion. Dreams, delusions, disenchantments, attachments. Health, wealth, wellness, focus, compassion, partnership, stasis, peace, change, fulfillment.

Where I've been and where I'm going. Trying to focus on where I am.

Favorite spots include:
Colorado - for family
New Orleans - for the love of life
Gili Islands/Komodo/Sipidan- for the diving
Mongolia and Patagonia - for the desolation
Bergen, Norway - for the symbiosis of man and nature, and beauty of both
Sikkim, India - for the spirituality
Burma - for the development in a vacuum and insane politics
DC - for friends
Annapurna, Nepal - for be scenery
Argentina - for the party

And anywhere new, for the adventure
On a typical Friday night I am
In the room listening to the kind of music she doesn't like...oh crap, that's Taylor Swift, not me. And that was a Tuesday night anyway.

Out with friends, hopefully dancing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In court? I'm hoping the chain of evidence will be tainted so I don't have to
You should message me if
You have access to the Internet. Otherwise I probably won't get it.

Currently looking for friends/lovers/partners/explorers, of the kind/creative/funny/evolved variety. If it becomes something more then cool. Would be particularly interested if you are the writer/humorist/humanist/photographer/yogi/comedian/entrepreneurial type
