My self-summary

I have a Studio Arts degree that is only ever used to draw family portraits as gifts.

The fun parts of my average day include bacon-n-eggs, a 5 mile run, and incessantly reading the latest news stories.

I'm a software developer running my own freelance business out of my home. That gives me lots of freedom to chose when to work, when to get out, and when to just chill. My favorite thing to do around the house is to pop in a great movie.

Every once in a while I play harmonica on a song or two with my brother's band. We recorded a live cd on stage at the Cricket on the Hill a few years ago, that was pretty fun, but it's more likely to be an impromptu jam session around a camp fire or after his band's practice session.

I am askew, rational, and inquisitive
What I’m doing with my life
Rearranging my priorities. Venturing from my cave is seeming to happen more and more often.
I’m really good at
Trivial Pursuit, making breakfast, playing harmonica, drawing with pastels, painting with acrylics, and fiddling with technology.
The first things people usually notice about me
The _first_ thing people probably notice is my classically celtic red hair, pale skin, and blue eyes.

Speaking of non-physical traits, I'd have to guess they'd notice my alternating rhythm of low-key agreeability and passionate discourse.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite Books... Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States, Catcher in the Rye, Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy, A Brief History of Time, The God Delusion, Demon Haunted World, and The Hobbit

Movies is a LOT harder, hmm Casablanca, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Office Space, American Beauty, Fight Club, The Big Lebowski, Amelie, Monty Python's Holy Grail, 12 Monkeys... This list could go on for a while :)

My music library is fairly huge and eclectic, but lets see: Billie Holiday, Counting Crows, Radiohead, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Bob Dylan, Blackalicious, David Wilcox, Kasey Chambers, Pearl Jam, ... But when it comes to music, I just play it all on random. Makes for nice variety.
Lately I've been listening to a lot of Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan, and the great Ella Fitzgerald.

As for favorite food, I think my favorite food is whatever is on my plate at the time. But I tend to be a steak and potatoes kinda guy.
Six things I could never do without
My Water Bottle, The Internet, Bacon, Movies, and Exercise

Really... mostly the bacon.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I "think" more than I "feel" when it comes to dealing with people, and some people don't really get me because of it, but I'm not really sure how to change that, or if I should.
The two of us
