I care about more than one thing at once. Sometimes things that are greatly contradictory.
I pay attention to what's going on in the world.
I've learnt that men generally suck at listening; I strive to keep my mansplaining to a minimum.
But I do enjoy talking about politics, sex and religion, especially at the dinner table!
These days, in public at least, I pass off as a white, hetrosexual, cis male; but I was born and grew up in the middle of a war, and spent my teenage years learning how to flirt and smuggle alcohol while dodging the religious police. So while I'm aware of the many privileges that I now enjoy, there's a bit more to me under the surface.
I'm in a non-monogamous relationship with a fabulous woman, so if that's not your thing, please move along.
Watching US Election polls.
Patting cute puppies and kittens.
Dreaming about all the supercars I'm going to buy one day.
Similarly, I used to watch a lot more movies on the small screen, but nowadays it's mostly TV. I don't watch broadcast TV per se, just a few shows that I download. Current favourites include:
Game of Thrones
House of Cards
The Man in the High Castle
Mozart in the Jungle
Orange is the new Black
I've gone through phases of listening to pop and then rock and then rock n roll, but mostly these days I find myself listening to jazz. New Orleans jazz if I'm being picky, but I listen to a lot of classical jazz as well.
As for food, I love cheese, and wine...and coffee... and everything really! I am yet to discover a type of food or cuisine that I don't like.
Alcohol (wine, whiskey, gin, beer, raki...)
A shower a day
Sex (preferably also every day)
Can you establish consent when everyone is really drunk?
How to protect privacy and limit state surveillance in the age of internet and big data.
What Artificial Intelligence will mean for the future of jobs, especially the already disappearing blue-collar jobs.
Is there life on Enceladus? What about Europa or Titan? Will we ever go to Mars? It's fucking 2016, why the fuck aren't we already on Mars?
What the rise of extreme left and extreme right populist parties across Europe means.
The potential for driverless cars to dramatically change the urban design of our living environments and the architecture of cities.
Or you're kinky.
You like what you see here.
