I can also engage people on all kinds subjects, and in multiple languages: I’m fluent in French. I fell in love with French poetry and classical music when I was a teenager. Debussy was particularly
appealing (yes, I was a strange kid!). I even gave classical piano concerts in college.
Presently, I own an upright piano that sits in my dining room. Living in cramped Manhattan, this is out of necessity more than eccentricity. Besides classical, I like Cole Porter, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash and Bill Evans. I go to concerts and attend events at the French Institute, as well as the Asia Society (for art outings).
I work in finance so these pursuits offset the stress, as do fencing, squash, golf, yoga and cooking. As a public service to anyone reading this: make lots of long incisions in a spaghetti squash before microwaving, unless you want an explosion worthy of a 24 episode.
Lastly, I love running. I've jogged through the verdant hills above Hong Kong; fertile farmland in Southern France; the lush valley leading to Machu Picchu; and the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal. My favorite runs though, are with my sheltie!
I’d like to meet a compassionate, intelligent woman who’s close to her family and friends, and has a sense of devotion and whimsy (you’ll need it!). If you’d like to know more (about me or some obscure subject!), then feel free to contact me.
