I'm a guy that likes to relax on the weekends, and a good social gathering is just the key. I like a good time, but I'm not the party animal I used to be.
I don't have anything particularly deep and self-reflective to say. I usually just trip over myself, so let me know if I do and remember to not over think it.
I also help out at a comic book store in DeKalb, so that's a lot of fun. I'm a big time old school geek, comic books are my real passion. I contribute to an unbroadcast podcast, and despite not being a full time Comic Book Man, I can usually knock everyone's socks off with my knowledge of Geek.
Trying to be less neglectful of my gym membership, need to get it up to 3+ times a week...
Interviewing people from all walks of life, comprehending complex bureaucracy. I wrote for a college paper which won the equivalent of a Pulitzer for some of my work. I miss journalism sometimes, but not measly paychecks, a dwindling job market and crappy hours.
I studied print journalism, international politics and picked up a minor in history, which has only fed my lifelong obsession with getting facts straight. It comes in handy at both my jobs, from knowing comic books to remembering specifics of government policy and catching people when they try to scam your tax dollars.
I do bad, in-depth impersonations. Most of which are politically incorrect, highly offensive and completely inappropriate.
Comics: I'm a huge comic geek, but I'm not going to use pretentious, self-absorbed jargon like "graphic fiction". They're comic books. I have enough to open a small store, but I have no interest in selling. Chances are, you name it, I've read it, know about it, call tell you about it, etc...
Movies: Name a movie, and if I've seen it, I'll give you my take on it. Some of my favorites are directed by Richard Kelly, David Lynch, Scorsese, the Coen Brothers, Tarrantino and Kubrick. I <3 The Big Lebowski! I like all sorts of movies, and yes, for the right gal, I'll put up with chick flicks, though I might make fun of them as much as I do my bad 80s action movie collection.
TV: Game of Thrones, It's Always Sunny, Tosh.0, Rick and Morty, Archer, American Horror Story, Curb your Enthusiasm, Futurama, Californication, Arrow, Flash, The Walking Dead, Dr. Who, and South Park. I used to be into anime, but recently I've been watching DBZ Kai and Attack On Titan, brings back some memories.
Music: I'm not a music guy, I like a bit of everything, mostly classic rock from the 70's, everything 80's, 90's alt-rock and rock. Bowie is awesome, I love the Ramones. I get laughs from comical/awkward music like the Lonely Island, Hasselhoff and Shatner. Campy montage music is fun too. I'm not too big on rap, hip-hop and country, I used to listen to Q101 a lot.
Food: I love the spicy and exotic, Indian and Thai, jambalaya. At the same time I hate mayo, mushrooms, ranch sauce and sour cream. I love pizza, but I keep it simple with pepperoni. And I only eat meat from animals. And occasionally fake meat.

Some sort of video game if I was alone, Or a book if I wasn't
One thing I am greatful for is that comic book movies and shows like Big Bang Theory have brought geekdom into the mainstream. I am not going to be ostracized from society for my passions, I can really be myself.
Now that the Walking Dead is back in season, I'm thinking either I'd make it all the way through the Zombie apocalypse or die right at the beginning. And I'm wondering, if an animal in the Walking Dead got bit by a zombie, would it survive the bite? We haven't seen zombie animals but we haven't seen this situation yet either.
One of the most important things in life is to realize we have to accept people for who they are. I am a geek and very passionate about it. I want somone special in my life, and quite a few of my hobbies are time consuming, but the right person will fit right into my life.
