My self-summary
My name's Frank, and I'm a junior at the University of Kansas studying photojournalism and geography. I also work at the Daily Kansan. I'm originally from Iowa, so Kansas wasn't too big of a shift.

I'm Latino and white, love seafood, and drive manual. I don't think I'm all that interesting, but my friends tell me otherwise. I'm pretty quiet until you get to know me, and I'll try to make people laugh if I want to be friends with them.

Honesty is very important to me. I rarely lie, and when I do I usually have a good reason to. I believe very strongly in ethics, and that's not always the most popular stance to take. I think it's important for people to consider when making choices in their lives.

I'm also a huge nerd. Get me drunk and I'll tell you all about the water cycle (my favorite topic is evapotranspiration) and photography.
What I’m doing with my life
Hell if I know...

I'm studying to be a photojournalist. I'm trying to tell stories through a visual medium, and bring a little more truth to the world. I take my job seriously, and it keeps me grounded
I’m really good at
Photography. Also, writing. Those are my marketable skills.

I'm good talking to people. I like to listen. I tend to judge people I haven't ever met let talked to (especially rich white kids) but it doesn't affect my view of them if I turn out to be wrong.

There's a few other things I'm good at. Ask me about them if you want.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Fahrenheit 451- I love how it addresses the world. How it teaches us to appreciate the dirt, the substance of our lives, not just the fireworks and flowers. Man cannot exist soley on frivolity and glamour.

Heart of Darkness- I like the romantic overture (natural romanticism). I always considered the jungle itself to be the villain, not Kurtz.

The Alchemist- a simple tale that talks about the simplicity of life, and how easy life can seem. It impacted how I view the world.

Hatchet- definitely a throwback, but I really loved the difficulty of existence, and the sheer force of will.

I'm also reading Dead Souls. That's a great book.

Food: I love almost anything. Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, seafood (of every kind) Italian, you name it. As far as actual food goes, mine would be a tomato. I love raw tomatoes (I know that's weird. Sorry, can't help it)

Music: The xx, the Black Keys, Decemberists, the Strokes, Augustana, Motion City Soundtrack, Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, the Rolling Stones, Airbourne, Metallica, Judas Priest, Led Zepplin, ACDC, Black Sabbath, Bruce Springsteen, John (Cougar) Mellencamp, CCR, Motley Crüe, Foreigner, the Eagles, the Beatles, Def Leopard, Journey, and the Glitch Mob to name a few.

I like a lot of music. When I'm driving, I'm usually listening to heavy metal, rock, or CCR/Springsteen stuff. Lots of 70-90s mullet rock.

Shows: I watch the news, and Law and Order. A few other shows, but if you want to really know, ask.
Six things I could never do without
Music, and alone time. I'm a night person, so I usually get my thinking done around 2-3 in the morning.

Companionship is important to me as well. Whether it's a friend, a dog, or a girl, I tend to like having one for those bouts of loneliness
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. How the world will turn out. What my place will be, what my life will end up being.

Sometimes I think about all the problems with the world, but without looking at it in a depressing light.

I love to go out to the country and stare up at the stars and think of nothing but how wonderfully quiet it is, and how pretty the colors are.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either hanging out with a friend, out dancing to shitty music, or home playing games and eating pizza.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The one thing I hate is cowardice, but I'm always worried that if the time comes, however it does, I won't stand up to the occasion.
You should message me if
Message me for anything really. I'm not picky about talking to people. You want to be friends and go get sushi, let's get to know each other. You want to go on a date and have a fling, hit me up.

You think you're my soulmate and we will end up with each other forever, well... Give it a shot I guess...?
The two of us
