My self-summary
I think intelligence, good character, and excellent conversation are absolutely the sexiest things on the planet. I am far more likely to be interested in someone if they are passionate about something and want to engage me in a (conversation) about it. I am looking to meet, fall in love, and build a life with someone who enjoys a great conversation and is passionate, intelligent, self aware, fun, nerdy/geeky, bookish, kind, want to be in love and grow old together, and open minded yet still thinks things through.

I know who I am and what I want, but I am not afraid to grow, explore, change, and just be. And sometimes when I am going through a period of NOT knowing who I am - discovery.

Turn Ons:
-- An excellent character
-- Integrity
-- Intelligence
-- Stimulating conversation
-- Kindness/Compassion
-- Loving
-- Honesty
-- Loyal
-- A great wit/Humor
-- Generosity
-- Bookish/Bibliophile
-- Cinephile
-- Gamer <3
-- Being who you are
-- Being madly in love with me (Why lie? It's really hot.)
-- Fun
-- Dashing/Liking yourself
-- Sexy

So, let's have a chat and see how things evolve as we get to know each other. As for me, I am friendly, but bookish. Also I have ZERO interest in hook-ups!

I am interested in: Books. Films. Animated shorts. Anime. Art. Museums. Tea. Playing board games. Travel. Cooking. SIFF. Dance. Physics. Astronomy, Dance!. I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE to read (especially in the morning when it is overcast and misty outside), watch/study/talk about films/books/science and sustainability, silhouette puppetry & animation/anime,illustration,table top gaming, PAX, photography (mostly b&w), swimming, tai chi, taking walks, travel, playing mahjong and board games, think/research/talk about cool science-y things (especially how things/brain/people work, various life sciences, bioengineering/sistainability, and space), learn languages, and travel. I love art in nature and in spirit, as well as in design.

I like a lot of artists of different mediums. (Museums) rule. PLEASE support your local libraries and museums - these are precious sanctuaries.

Oh, and I LOVE Bizarre Celebrations.
What I’m doing with my life
Playing board games, writing essays, studying, art, trying to learn to cook Iranian food. I love to learn and go to museums and lectures - anywhere that will expand my knowledgeable horizons! I love my life and consider myself to be a very lucky person.

Currently I am continuing an ongoing love affair with film history and how it relates to and sometimes defines or is defined by the era it exists in. I am extremely interested in art history and well just history in general. I also enjoy various Chinese and Japanese arts, literature, music film and politics (although most of this interest is in the ancient world).

Also, I really love design (sustainability, video games, world building - they all interest me) and wish I knew how to turn it into a feasible career for me. I know the answers to this are obvious, but they just don't quite fit my heart.

While my work doesn't define me, I do enjoy it because it makes a difference in others lives.
I’m really good at
Talking to people and making new friends. Making friends with cats that don't belong to me. Being a nerd/geek. Sometimes cooking. Walking in fog. Research. Learning several languages poorly. Becoming addicted to the BBC and anime. Reading and going to the library. Analyzing movies. Guessing what's going to happen next. Thinking about stuff.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile probably. I smile a great deal. Or I'm doing something you think is weird (and possibly adorable), like chatting with a cat or dancing. Also, that I really, genuinely like myself. Also, people have been telling me that "I smell nice" a great deal recently. Must be all the books...

Six things I could never do without
*Library card/books
*Great conversation/company/friends
*Interesting media (film, books, music)/Studio Ghibli
* A room of one's own with cats (space to myself when I need it/a thinking place - cat[s] mandatory)
* Great food
* A nice cup of tea
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I should probably condense this profile somehow (ok, in all honesty, I only think that if I'm actually reading it). How awesome Ingmar Bergman (I mean Ozu Yasujiro. I mean Alain Renais. Michel Gondry. Lotte Reiniger. Julie Taymor. Ben Hibon. Peter S. Beagle. The author of the last good book or film I read/saw.) is.

Dr. Who. Shakespeare, particularly Much Ado About Nothing (you'd be embarrassed to know how many productions of this I have seen or how long I can discuss it). Studio Ghibli. The film/anime I just watched/the book I'm reading/just finished. Some cool or interesting concept I've been recently exposed to. What I should read/watch next. Some design aspect of a video or board game I played or witnessed 'recently'. How to make cooler levels in Mario Maker. Other world building stuff, such as my next world building experiment. Wondering why I can't find anyone else to run Jane Austen or Murakami or other classic and modern literature campaigns with. Dreaming about how the mechanics would work in said campaigns. Oh! Time/Book traveling campaigns! ... How to best kill/avoid zombies. What I should cook for dinner (zombies need not apply, though I do enjoy the idea of a zombie that dreams of being a great chef). Languages, usually dead. Life, The Universe, and Everything. Space colonies and how they would actually work. Global solutions, solutions to energy sustainability, white/black holes, black & white cinema, what's happening out there in the Universe, what's going on with Voyager mission, cool/funny/fascinating science facts, Who we are, why we're here, what's really out there, space/the Universe, why those idiots thought taking Eureka/Firefly/any other awesome shows worth watching off the air would be a GOOD idea, how Trump could actually have been elected as our President (like legitimately. No seriously. How did that happen?), next research project at the library, how to be better at WOW/MTG, the zombie apocalypse, how much I love being a nerd/geek. What games to play next. Why there aren't more games like Shadow Hunters in the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either reading, watching a film, or hanging out with friends doing something fun and nerdy. Possibly all of the above. Other possibilities include: making an awesome dinner, enjoying the scent of petrichor, or taking a walk. In the fog.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
* I sometimes wonder if I wasn't meant to be a cat and the Gods got mixed up the alchemy.
* I LOVE the movie Joe vs The Volcano. It's seriously in my top 20 and I am often astonished that more people haven't seen it because it's so good.
* I learn up to three impossible things before breakfast.
* I'm in love with Carl Sagan, Jane Austen, and Nikola Tesla.
* My brother is my favourite person in the whole Universe. Literally. I checked.
