My self-summary
I'm an optimist who loves games, science, learning, and being challenged. I feel like I've found a good balance in life between play and work: I love to relax and enjoy life's comforts while also striving for my goals. I'm either looking forward to the next interesting thing in my path or I'm creating the path myself.

My friends say I'm the kind of person who always allows for the benefit of the doubt, isn't afraid to have deep conversations, and is only loud while cheering. As an introvert, I value my personal space and am very particular about who I open up to. But if you're someone special in my life, you can be sure that I'll always be honest and to-the-point, often preferring blunt truths over subtle social cues. There is no subject I won't talk about, no topic that is taboo, and no joke that's too bold if I'm in the right company.
What I’m doing with my life
My biggest passion has always been video game development. I've worked as a professional game developer for several years, with my current focus being on the company that I co-own, producing digital books and games. I love games of all kinds, and love creating them even more.

If I weren't a game developer, I would most likely be a physicist. The idea of searching for an understanding of the universe at a fundamental level really intrigues me. Film production comes in at a close third place.

One of my goals is to travel the world with someone special, staying at least one night in every country and recording the entire trip with videos and pictures. Yes, even North Korea and Antarctica! Maybe those could be saved for the climactic finish...
I’m really good at
Computer programming is my profession and hobby. I enjoy doing it (shock to some people, I know), but it fits well with my problem solving abilities and analytical nature.

I'm also good at remaining cool-headed during any type of argument or debate. Looking at the facts, removing bias, and trying to find an outcome that works for everyone is something I've found I can do relatively well.
The first things people usually notice about me
I prefer to observe, rather than jump into things head first. So that combined with my introversion means I tend to come off as very quiet or aloof. Sometimes this leads people to think that I am uncaring, but that's really not the case.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Games: There are WAY too many games to list, but included in my favorites are: Final Fantasy series, Portal, Fallout series, Elder Scrolls series, Diablo series.

Books:Any fantasy or sci-fi story with a unique or interesting concept. Suggestions are welcome!

Movies: The Matrix, Inception, Back to the Future, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Jurassic Park. Tons more.

TV: Breaking Bad, House of Cards, The Big Bang Theory, Community, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Modern Family, The Office, House, Survivor.

Music: I know this is super cliche, but it really depends on the song. Genres aren't as important to me as individual songs are. But as far as bands go, I really like Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Michael Jackson, Ellie Goulding.
The six things I could never do without
1. My family
2. Games
3. The Internet
4. The scientific method
5. Ambition/The desire to better oneself
6. Numbered lists
I spend a lot of time thinking about
New ideas for video games; what I would do in a zombie apocalypse; how I would build the labyrinth under my mansion if I got rich... you know, normal stuff.

Oh, and the dull adult stuff, like how to structure my future, and what I can do to complete my goals in life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Looking for adventures on my own or with friends, at home playing or creating a game, watching TV or a movie, browsing the interweb, or battling my ferocious monster (also known as playing with my cat).
You should message me if
We can talk about what we have in common, argue about what we don't have in common, or just goof around getting to know each other. Intelligence and a good sense of humor are huge bonuses!
