My self-summary
Never the one to listen to conventional wisdom, I experience life through experiment. There are those who claim, "I'll do anything once" and then there are those who have done them. I'm definitely the latter of the two.

My soles have wandered the Wall of China, the pavements of New York, and the dust of the Colloseum. I have savored Belgium waffles, German beers, and Nigori in their country of origin. My hands have touched the statue of Juliet in Venice, the rocks of concentration camps in Dachau, and the snow of the Swiss Alps. I've hiked the sacred mountains of China listening to Jay-Z, bartended EDM concerts in Brooklyn, and shouted inside a waterfall in Switzerland. These eyes have seen the attic where Anne hid, the pond where Thoreau sat, and the steps where King dreamed. I've stood at podiums in the UN and sat in stadiums where Knicks play. My nose knows what the fresh ocean-carried air smells like at the Big Sur, and I have felt the warmth of a volcano in Hawaii. My ears have heard the pops of tennis balls at the US Open and the cheers of Superbowl fans in Times Square.

If you caught some of these references, do say hello. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Changing the world one mind at a time. I work in mental health as a counselor. Rescued a dog and named him Boogie, cause when he gets excited, he shakes his tail so hard, he boogies his entire lower body.
I’m really good at
I'm a USTA 4.0 tennis player, I play basketball 2-3 times a week and I'm also a certified archer and a decent pool player. I know the science of happiness, I can order Chinese food in Chinese, I'm a pretty good endurance swimmer, I can do a one handed pushup, I have a pretty decent wardrobe and have worked at a dance studio for 2 years taking free dance lessons in exchange, I can draw comic book characters pretty well, I minored in English and know this is one long run-on sentence, I was voted class clown three times, I can probably make you laugh, I exude optimism because I've been through the #roughlife and express gratitude every chance i get.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'll just quote some lines I've gotten -
"Are you Korean?" (I'm not)
"soccer playah!" (I'm not)
"Nice outfit" (I do dress well on occasion)
"Are you gay?" (because of the above, I'm not)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies - Inception, American Beauty, Fight Club, The Fountain, Babel, Good Will Hunting, The Hours, Lions for Lambs, The Aviator, A Beautiful Mind, Dark Knight, Project X, Wedding Crashers, Hero (Jet Li),

Music - EDM (before it was popular), Porter Robinson, District 78, Hip hop that has good beats and good lyrics. random pop music I can dance to. I'm a huge fan of Lady Gaga actually.

TV - Game of Thrones, Homeland, The League, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Modern Family, Suits, Sports Center, Tosh.0, 60 Minutes. I now have to add The Leftovers on here cause that show is incredible!
The six things I could never do without
the gym, Positive Psychology,, humor, friends that know how to say the right things at the right time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
politics - US foreign policy for one, China's rise and how it affects global politics, neighbors and what it means for my family back there, inspiration, traveling destinations, the science of happiness, how to create massive change in my clients, how to get more clients, how to improve myself and the Positive Psych field in general, NBA statistics. I'm one of people that loves to think about the why, and not the who and what.
On a typical Friday night I am
Dancing my butt off or in watching a movie. Depends on the night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
One of my favorite monologues - "I apologize to you if I don't seem real eager to jump into a forced awkward intimate situation that people like to call dating. I don't like the feeling. You're sitting there, you're wondering do I have food on my face, am I eating, am I talking too much, are they talking enough, am I interested I'm not really interested, should I play like I'm interested but I'm not that interested but I think she might be interested but do I want to be interested but now she's not interested? So all of the sudden I'm getting, I'm starting to get interested... And when am I supposed to kiss her? Do I have to wait for the door cause then it's awkward, it's like well goodnight. Do you do like that ass-out hug? Where you like, you hug each other like this and your ass sticks out cause you're trying not to get too close or do you just go right in and kiss them on the lips or don't kiss them at all? It's very difficult trying to read the situation. And all the while you're just really wondering are we gonna get hopped up enough to make some bad decisions? Perhaps play a little game called "just the tip". Just for a second, just to see how it feels. Or, ouch, ouch you're on my hair. "
You should message me if
you like conversation that is filled with humor, or intelligence, but not to the point of pretentiousness. Or you love EDM and can dance your butt off too
