Dating profiles are hard. I dunno, does this really sound like me?
I'd love to find someone who can write in complete sentences, who can make me laugh really, really hard, who will hold up their end of a conversation with someone who thinks quickly and talks fast, someone who's an adult when necessary but still knows and enjoys a good night of ridiculous fun, and someone who isn't going to mind if I'm not drinking (because I don't) but understands that I'm having fun regardless of a lack of alcohol. Don't be too buttoned up - be a little weird sometimes, you know?
I like being in the air, which is why I started doing aerials. I like being strong. I love the city - I like the culture and everything that happens here and the mix of people and all the things and events that I have access to by virtue of living here. But I also love getting out of the city and having some quiet time and some space and fresh air.
I try to do new things regularly, which is what led me to circus and aerials (I'm PRETTY MUCH in Cirque du Soleil, you guys*) or random things like joining a dodgeball league (I am not good at dodgeball) and going to lots of music shows, both local and touring. I like food a lot.
*[note: this is a joke. I am not actually in Cirque du Soleil or anything close to it. Recent apparent confusion about this comment has led me to clarify this]
I'm a big fan of Somerville; I recently bought a house here, so I am always happy to go out and check out new places now that I'm tied to the city for the next 30 years. I'm also happy to go check out new places that are not in Somerville. I'm also happy to visit old favorites.
The limbo, the hula hoop, knitting, taking silly photos. Seriously, you don't want to challenge me in a limbo match. I won so many CD singles at so many bar mitzvahs in my youth, I've learned all the tricks.
Also cuddling, spending time upside down, shoveling snow like a goddamn boss, and building flat pack furniture.
No, but really, probably my hair. It's curly; sometimes it seems like there is an awful lot of it.
I'm an introvert who is often mistaken for an extrovert.
I find it overwhelming to try to list all the things I like but rest assured, I'm happy to talk about it in person.
Fresh air and water
Fun, interesting, and creative people
Something fuzzy and squishy to hug, like a stuffed animal, a cat, a dog, or a person
That's more than six isn't it? Shit, guess I'm fired.
You're honest and sincere, and have a sense of humor.
You appreciate good food and good conversation.
You want to have some adventures and are looking for someone to share them with.
You enjoy listening to great music and might sing the harmonies with me.
You have something to say
You like cheese and are willing to eat lots of it with me
You can handle a little bit of weird
You are, in fact, just a little bit weird.
You're warm and open.
You aren't afraid of sexuality, either mine or your own.
You've at least begun the journey towards figuring out who you are, even though it's a journey that you might never finish.
Also, although it's possible that I might want to see you naked at some point in the undefined future, that time is not now. So, you know, don't be creepy. :)
In addition, to all my polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous friends out there, I love you and I am totally behind this lifestyle. But it's worth noting that I am looking for a primary partnership with someone, and so while I am open to exploring this concept with that person, I'm not looking to be secondary in anyone else's relationships right now.
I like getting messages that indicate that you've seen something on here that you like or want to respond to - something beyond a "hey cutie." I promise my messages to you will be equally well thought out.
