My self-summary
I'd rather other people get to know me, than me tell them about myself.

That being said, I'm fairly unique. I grew up on a farm that I love, but I read a lot, like culture, and other things you might not expect from my farm background.

I like being outdoors, observing the stages of the year, observing wildlife. I like photography and amateur astronomy, I play a couple 'world instruments.' I'm fairly well-read. My majors and concentrations include history, theology and related fields. I am a Bible-believing Christian who has quite a few Catholic friends, I like board games. My goals include marriage and family, and possibly retiring to the family farm when that time comes. I just colloquized and certified as a Director of Christian Education.

I'm deep, but can be silly, laid-back but serious. Warm-hearted, good with kids, yet definitely a guy. I like science fiction and Tolkien (which isn't fantasy, but rather an historic-elegeic adventure tale :-P)

I am Down-to-earth, Intellectual, and Humorous
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching and being taught. I just colloquized and certified as a Director of Christian Education and am awaiting my first call for teaching across the lifepsan. Teaching what? The Bible, theology and the Biblical worldview; the backbone to which all other fields attach and are built upon. That we might all live richer, fuller lives, enjoying the things around us we normally over-look, using all of our talents to the full.
I’m really good at
global thinking and synthesis.

But not in talking about what I'm really good at. That old upper-Midwestern German-American "you don't talk good about yourself, let someone else do it" meme, ya know.
The first things people usually notice about me
My, what blue eyes you have!

Six things I could never do without
*God *the liturgy & the eucharist *books (esp. Bible, theology and SF) *nature, especially the family farm and the Mountains *family *music (esp. trad and traditional instruments)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
*How to teach and convey the joy of the fullness of the Christian life to members of the congregation, especially youth, college, and older.

*Science, especially planetary geology. I even contributed to a paper, once.

*The ways I want to landscape the family farm, plant an orchard, and raise kids there, if this were an ideal world.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm more proud of my (rather amateurish) photography than I am of my education.
