My self-summary
Aside from work, I lift and run to stay in shape, ski when there's snow, and camp, cookout, and ride when it's nice. I'm pretty mechanically inclined so I generally have an ongoing project in the house or garage to keep me busy when the weather sucks but sometimes I like to just bum around too. I'm also a decent cook but I like going out for dinner and/or drinks as well. I've been getting into the UFC lately and I'm a fan of football and hockey but I don't really follow baseball or basketball. I can't draw to save my life and approach most things with a linear logical method so people that are artistic and abstractly creative fascinate me.
What I’m doing with my life
For the most part I do typical things, work, run errands, hang out with friends, wander the city aimlessly, etc. I aspire to do non-typical things when I have the opportunity. I want to see Italy, Australia, and several other places. I also intend to go diving at some point, both sky and SCUBA.
I’m really good at
Figuring out how tangible objects operate and work together. Most things computer/electronic related, building things, working on cars/motorcycles, plumbing, electrical, wood/metal working, etc. I'm not very artistic and because of that I have a great deal of appreciation for art and artists. I'm also pretty good at making an ass out of myself much to the amusement of other people, though generally it's unintentional.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've never thought to ask and people haven't commented on a particular feature that I can remember so I imagine I present a pretty average first impression.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
a) My bookshelf is mostly populated by Stephen King, Bukowski, Hunter S. Thompson, and non-fiction by comedians and people I find interesting.
b) Vanilla Sky, Pulp Fiction, Heat, The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, Donnie Darko, Memento, too many to name, feel free to ask.
c) Nine Inch Nails, Story of the Year, Three Days Grace, Deftones, Pink Floyd, Tool, Linkin Park, Incubus, Foo Fighters, honeyhoney...again, too many and too various to list them all.
d) Anything Italian, anything spicy, and chicken wings.
The six things I could never do without
The advice, support, and companionship of my family and friends.
My phone, which I use for almost everything aside from actually making phone calls.
My motorcycle. I've put so much time, sweat, and blood into that thing it's become an extension of me. It's also my preferred method of travel until the harshest Winter months set in.

I'll have to think more on this, I can't come up with three other things I absolutely couldn't do without at the moment.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually working and then hanging out with my big dumb dog. Occasionally I'll meet friends out for a beer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I completely lack the social skill of idle conversation which makes initially connecting with people difficult; I like to discuss and debate almost any topic, but typical silence fillers like the weather don't interest me. I also can't dance to save my life, but I've recently discovered that I enjoy trying.
