My self-summary
Me: Quiet, Analytical, Unconventional, Multifaceted, Resourceful, Eclectic, Dilettante, Free-Thinker, Psychonaut, Seeker, Healer, Old-Soul. INTJ

Indigo child and urban shaman - I'm curious about psychology, humanity, spirituality, sexuality, cosmology, and nature.

I'm a recovering over-achiever. Life was about chasing the next higher goal, from career paths, to travel destinations, to life experiences. Now I'm taking things in more slowly, learning what resonates most and brings joy in my life. It has allowed me the freedom of exploration without expectation or judgment.

I value some degree of privacy and solitude in my life, and careful with whom I choose to share my time together. Smaller company is much preferred than large parties, intellectual conversations over small-talk, and authenticity above illusion. Thinking outside of the box is my norm. I don't conform to most social rules or norms just because they are there - instead, I look from within as guidance for my actions and behavior. I blend in well enough with the outside world when I want, but I express best in environments free from social constraints.

I'm biologically male, and I identify more as a gender-fluid male (very non-patriarchal, non-hierarchical), and am attracted to birth-assigned females for romance (gender-fluidity within that spectrum welcome). I'm also non-monogamous at this time. This doesn't mean I sleep around. I'm open to monogamy happening in the future if it feels right with someone and it happens naturally over time.

I enjoy hiking, spiritual retreats, ecstatic dancing, meditation, game nights, massages, hot springs, reading or watching controversial or conspiracy-related articles/videos, dream analysis, casual games, DIY projects, mindful sex, and connecting with nature.
What I’m doing with my life
Building my spiritual tribe. Balancing my light and shadow sides. Shedding layers, de-conditioning, and healing. Undoing the damage done to me by the culture of productivity and capitalism. I'm in transition from a busy, mindless "work-hard / play-hard" life toward building an authentic life that resonates with how I feel. I'm focused on cultivating greater self-awareness, connectiveness, and authenticity. It's a lifestyle and journey, not a destination.

I used to design and develop video games, teach a few undergraduate courses in psychology, trained while working as a therapist. I double-majored in college and got a masters in clinical psychology, then left that field too. Currently, I'm transitioning into studying the healing arts as a shamanic practitioner, and I'm also a disability rights activist. This means I often go to workshops and retreats with seekers like myself.

Some of the things I've been learning recently:
-Drumming Circles
-Ecstatic Dancing
-Ancient Archaeology
-Metaphysical Phenomena

I've traveled around the world from such places as Egypt, Turkey, Australia, and most of Europe. I also dabbled in many different interests at times from swing, ballroom, and salsa dancing, skiing, snowboarding, and camping. I'm not the burning man type, despite that I sometimes dress like a hippie.
I’m really good at
- board games, card games, and video games
- referencing facts and data from memory
- baking gluten-free coconut chocolate brownies and cookies
- making lists, optimizing, minimizing
- mathematics and probability
- non-linear, systems thinking
- analyzing dreams, psychoanalysis, and giving massages
- being socially awkward at times

I'm not into:
- capitalism, materialism, sports
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: non-fiction, psychology, spirituality, shamanism, Carl Jung, Eckhart Tolle, Thich Nhat Hanh, Russell Brand Revolution, David Icke

Movies: Inside out, Inception, Eternal Sunshine

Television: I don't watch broadcast or cable television, but I do watch a few series on Netflix: Star Trek, Adventure Time, BoJack Horseman, Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Firefly, MLP: Friendship is Magic, Assorted Anime

Music: Classic Rock, 90's Alternative, Zen, Instrumental, New Age, and Vocal Trance.

Food: I keep it mostly healthy and gluten-free, but cannot pass up ice cream (even though I'm lactose-intolerant). I used to be a vegetarian and pescatarian for a few years. No on cilantro.
The six things I could never do without
1) Nature
2) Dreams
3) Sex
4) Healing
5) Depth
6) Truth
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Dream analysis, connectiveness, socio-economic justice, the human condition, UFOs, humanism, socio-anarchism, neurodiversity, mycology, permaculture, living off the grid.

I'm a strong believer of personal growth and development. I set aside time to learn how to bring forth my authentic self into my daily presence. That said, I'm nowhere near where I would like to be and continue working on it.

I practice non-monogamy, but I'm not into casual sex, and I need to feel connection and trust with any partner I'm with. I'm open to having a family, but I'm living my life without focusing on that at the present and don't necessarily need a family in my life to feel fulfilled.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm quite the homebody, nature walker, spirit seeker, and camper. Most of the time, working on DIY projects, reading books or articles on the internet, or watching Netflix with a cooked meal. Sometimes I go out with a friend, or head to Spirit Rock for a night workshop, meditation session, or ecstatic dancing.
You should message me if

- You have an interest in UFOs, the metaphysical, or alternative archaeology.
- You follow your heart, not your ego.
- You appreciate and enjoy animals and nature.
- You are into cabins, living off-grid, and/or permaculture.

- Any combination of the above

If you made it this far and are interested, message me. I'm impressed when initiative is taken and gender roles are torn down.
