My self-summary
I spend my days making things, reading odd books, watching movies, going to concerts, and roaming. I've just moved to Detroit from NYC, and I'm looking for interesting people/new friends.

I'm a work in progress, and I'm always trying to improve.

I'm very interested in art, industrial design, antiques, architecture, scavenging and scrapping, video and tabletop games, science fiction and fantasy, history, science, and space exploration and exploitation.

I'm open minded and I spend a lot of time observing and mentally documenting the world around me, to hopefully make it into something interesting later on.

Also, I've answered like a billion questions, but a lot of the answers are super old because I started my account when I was 17 on a dare. Just ask me, if something seems crazy/super goth.

I'm a liberal, feminist, LGBTQ ally.
What I’m doing with my life
I currently have a day job as a moldmaker/woodworker, but I'm mainly focused on making my own work, meeting people, and exploring.

I'm saving money to buy a place to turn into a sculpture park/multimedia gallery space/nightclub/junkyard. Let's see how that goes!

I'm also a total nerd tabletop gamer/DnD DM/ transient Pokemon player.

I want to build things and take them apart (sometimes the same things) have adventures and explore.
I’m really good at
ImprovisIng and making a lot happen very quickly. Being distracted and getting a lot done at the same time, somehow. Welding, woodworking, moldmaking and casting, maintaining an open mind, petting cat.
The first things people usually notice about me
fractal pockets.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A) Science fiction in general. Some fantasy. Some historical fiction. A lot of random books by random people. My library is on shuffle because of a much loved but somewhat erratic local thrift store.

B) So many things. My current favorite is probably The Man with the X-Ray Eyes? I like a lot of classics, a lot of sci-fi, huge star trek/star wars nerd (why fight?)
and television! Star trek, battlestar galactica, firefly, samurai jack, archer, mst3k, adventure time, , lots of terribly embarrassing anime stuff, agent carter, agents of shield, and a bunch of britcoms.

C) RJD2, Fischerspooner, Claude Lamonthe, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, James Brown, lots of electronic music. A lot of EDM, IDM, goth, rockabilly, post goth, shoegaze, and industrial. Also honkey tonk, dixieland jazz, big band, soviet choral music, beach rock, swing, Sacred Harp

D) I love food. Don't make me choose.

E) Visual Artists! Giacometti, Louise Bourgeois, Francis Bacon, Mark Desuvero, Klimt maybe?, Hajime Sorayama, Constantin Brancusi, Peter Behrens (do architects count? I think so), Santiago Calatrava, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Tara Donovan, Isambard Brunel Maybe?, H.R. Giger, Syd Mead, Hugó Scheiber, Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, Suzanne Tourte...
The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Art movements
On a typical Friday night I am
Drinking with friends, seeing a show, watching a movie, prowling the city, and making things. All or some of the above.
You should message me if
You want to make things, play game, roam around, and don't mind a small mess.

I'm up for anything, really.
