I like to think of this process is somewhat fractal, and can be applied to just about any aspect of life.
I like movies are interesting that engage your brain, I mostly like documentaries. I make time for good movies though, some of my favorites are; Pulp fiction, Memento, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, guilty please movie is Ferris Beulers Day Off! I'll watch anything haven't seen before as long as it sounds remotely interesting. I've watched the first 15 minutes of a LOT of bad movies... If you've seen Birdemic, we're already off to a good start.
I like to read about space, and hope to be involved in astrophysics in some capacity someday. I'll also read anything that is recommended to me by someone I find intriguing.

The insatiable need to know more
A more palpable idea I've had recently is, trying not to perceive "things" as what they are at face value. But trying instead, to perceive "things" as what they are to my peers. In other words, I care less about the specific objects or activities that people persue. And I try to care more about how those objects or activities impact them as a person.

Quick tidbit that might be interesting. I've never returned anything I've purchased online... for whatever reason. And I shop online a lot.
