My self-summary
I just try and be the best person I can, life is too short to be bothered with menial things or burdened by which we cannot influence. I feel its important to approach life with a desire to understand things as they truly are, instead of viewing life through a lens that coincides with preconceived notions. Life can be so much more exciting and surprising when an ego doesn't get in the way.
What I’m doing with my life
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel around as a professional halo player as a hiatus from college. But eventually my insatiable curiosity of physics took its hold on me. Right now I'm majoring in physics as well as working full time making video games in Bellevue. I seem to have fully embraced my nerdy life.
I’m really good at
Problem solving, of all shapes and sizes. At the deepest levels, I think my proclivity for competing in video games is directly related to my love of physics. I enjoy delving deeper into things and applying what new things I learn to improve my approach, and take whatever I am doing to the next level.

I like to think of this process is somewhat fractal, and can be applied to just about any aspect of life.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well I'm quite tall, so naturally that's at the top of the list of things people first notice about me. And to be honest, I'm not quite sure what other things make up that list, I don't think I've bothered to ask anyone that question before. I hope the things that are noticed are the same things I take pride in having.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
As for music, I like it all. Basically anything played on KEXP between 6am and 6pm. And a few of the weekend shows. I can respect any kind of music that I deem as skilled. I have a lot of respect towards artists/musicians that can master their medium and do something unique.

I like movies are interesting that engage your brain, I mostly like documentaries. I make time for good movies though, some of my favorites are; Pulp fiction, Memento, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, guilty please movie is Ferris Beulers Day Off! I'll watch anything haven't seen before as long as it sounds remotely interesting. I've watched the first 15 minutes of a LOT of bad movies... If you've seen Birdemic, we're already off to a good start.

I like to read about space, and hope to be involved in astrophysics in some capacity someday. I'll also read anything that is recommended to me by someone I find intriguing.
Six things I could never do without
Computer with Internet
Documentaries and Podcasts
My Cat (Cosmo)
The insatiable need to know more
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Recently I've been obsessing over the staunch reality of being a human. We're a collection of molecules, on a pebble, going around one of the 400 billion super condensed gas spheres, in an unremarkable galaxy, which is just one of the 200 billion galaxies we can observe. I think it's a welcome reminder of how fleeting our moments are and how fortunate we are to experience them.

A more palpable idea I've had recently is, trying not to perceive "things" as what they are at face value. But trying instead, to perceive "things" as what they are to my peers. In other words, I care less about the specific objects or activities that people persue. And I try to care more about how those objects or activities impact them as a person.

And if you hadn't already guessed, a lot of my thoughts are sponsored by Marijuana.
On a typical Friday night I am
enjoying one of the many nerdy things I like to do on any given night. Friday night is only special if you make it special! That being said, I'm for sure open to any kind of Friday night adventures, spontaneous or otherwise.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Anything really. I try not to have any secrets. If you're not comfortable being an open book, how are you sure you're surrounding yourself with true friends?

Quick tidbit that might be interesting. I've never returned anything I've purchased online... for whatever reason. And I shop online a lot.
You should message me if
You're at all interesting or you've been intrigued by anything you've just read! I love to have interesting talks with new people. So ask me anything, really.
