My self-summary
Well, I'm no fashion model, but I'm clever and creative and have a heart of gold. Have the usual things like house, car, job, and head, but I'm also a bit unusual. I build things like a giant talking ear of corn for Burning Man, and sometimes ride around on a golden electric surfboard with a sphinx head. I suppose this makes me eccentric, though to be fair, it was a clown that said that.
I'm also into volunteering and do-gooding, and throw amazing experimental art events from time to time.
Basically I'm a healthy happy male human treading the path of mixed metaphors across the ocean of life.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in medical education, running simulation robots that look like real people. So you could say that I play with dolls. Also do engineering and design consulting, coordinate an arts nonprofit, serve as a minor evil landlord, and travel when the stars line up right.
Spring 2016 It was Budapest for 11 days, looking forward to Cuba in 2017. There is so much to learn.
I’m really good at
Being naturally inventive. Being good with my hands. Cooking by "feel." Being responsible for things. Thinking interesting thoughts. Enjoying with fullness and passion. I can also wiggle my ears, play the guitar, and recite a random poem about anything.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm often the shy, observant one at first, but get me talking and pretty soon we'll be chatting and joking like old pals.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I will read anything that sits still long enough. I like music with notes in it. For some reason I watched most of Downton Abby.

I like to cook, with veggies from my garden when possible. Eggplant parmesan, paella, veggie lasagna. I want to learn curries and Thai food next.
Six things I could never do without
The spin mop.
The number six.
This question.
A sunny day.
A cozy night.
The poetry of motion.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where are all the alien civilizations, and the missing mass of the universe? That is a lot to go missing all at once. Unless (as some speculate) it is because we are living in a simulation. In this case a rather bad, incomplete simulation, but still I hope the funding isn't running out anytime soon. Please contact Galactic Administrator Thorg with your concerns.
On a typical Friday night I am
Having a meeting, seeing some live music or going out dancing, or maybe all at once.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I am generally a pretty private person. If someone tells me a secret, it stays secret.
You should message me if
You are maybe a little different or offbeat, and want to meet a fascinating and accomplished old geezer. Um--I mean "well-experienced and well-traveled person."
The two of us
