I'm not sure if destroying the theory of relativity and time travel is either a case of monster ego or extremely low self-esteem.
The advantage to being close to the city again is being able to see way more bands when they come to town. I used to go to shows multiple times a week, but that slowed down, and now I am looking to go see as many as possible. That's not isolated to Fridays, but I think it is in the spirit of the question. And if it isn't, then I misread the subtext.
