My self-summary
Well, Hi. This is the fun part- trying to describe myself in a little word box.
Okay, here goes: I'd say I am a funny-always-searching-for fun-adventure-that awesome feeling-something amazing-kind of person. Laughing in life is a must, so is kindness, chemistry, great food, good booze, great friends, and love and passion.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a mom, a sister, a good friend, a hospice volunteer, a lover of art and museums, and a school administrator.
I’m really good at
I am good at making people feel comfortable.

I believe I am also good at seeing the best in any situation and in every person. Because, if you look real hard - it IS there.
The first things people usually notice about me
My energy and my smile. I enjoy people and like to have fun. I am open, friendly, and chatty.

I am curious and interested in all that life has to offer.

Physically-my smile or maybe my eyes- they are green.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love all kinds of food especially Mexican, Italian, and sushi. Chinese food once a week.

I like movies that make me feel deeply- be it a comedy or drama.
I read mostly when on vacation and before bed- sometimes something heavy, self-helpy, or sexy. Every few years I must read Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. I just must.

I am an HBO/Showtime junkie: True Blood, Californication, Homeland, Newsroom, Dexter, and Nurse Jackie. I really miss Six Feet Under.
I am told that I would love Mad Men, but still haven't seen it. I recently saw the movie, Bridesmaids and it made me pee in my pants! Conversely, I loved Ordinary People and thought it was very well acted.

Music- everything. Lately classical, jazz, and old 80's stuff is playing in my car. Love disco- used to dance at the clubs in NYC. Not a big country fan, but don't detest it.
Six things I could never do without
My kids.
Good food.
Hot black coffee.
Cold beer.
Spring and Fall
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The planet.
My children.
My family and friends.
My relationship with something greater than myself.
Sex (if I'm being honest).
The meaning of my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Enjoying cocktails with friends or maybe hanging with my kids over sushi or a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Crap- I don't know.
I'm liberal. No, that's not really very private. I am curvy. No, you can see that in my photos.
Hmmmm, okay I vacillate between which is more important- physical or emotional chemistry. In the end, I feel they are both needed for something lasting.
Many years ago, I shop lifted- stupid adolescent thing to do. I still feel guilty and try to make amends for that wrong doing and all my others. There, that was kind of private.

Oh, yes, I don't have much of a filter. Generally, what I feel and think is what I say.
