My self-summary
I'm stuck in the middle of a lot of things. Socializing and Hermitage. Scholar and Fool. Sequential Art and independent film. Lunch and Dinner. I think that for every bad thing, there is something good providing a counter-balance. I don't see why someone can't be mature while being a fan of comics, toys and cartoons. On the other side of the coin, I don't see why being a fan of those three things makes you better than anyone else. Nothing; not race, creed, gender, religion or status, is more important than the individual.

I also swear I'm a lot less serious than I come off in the sentences above.

I am faithful, silly, and satirical.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as an AV technician, a.k.a. "GET THAT GUY TO TELL ME HOW TO TURN ON MY LAPTOP BEFORE I EXPLODE!!!" guy. I'm at the gym 5-7 days a week and have a goal of being able to lift at least 250 lbs by this time next year. Also, I'm padding out my ideas for two books I'd like to write. It's slow going, but nothing good comes easy, right?

To fill out the rest of my days, I love to get out and wander around the city with people and try to eat at a new restaurant once a week. Other than that, I'm also looking into learning how to perform several circus arts, kayak and swing dance. At the same time if possible, lord help me.

When I'm at home, though, I'm a gigantic geek. I love technology, learning about new music, gaming of all sorts, Sci-Fi and Fantasy, Self-Help, it's all over the place. It would take much too long to list here, so send me a message if you'd like to know more!
I’m really good at
AV stuff (setting up home theaters and computers), playing tabletop/board/card/video games, cuddling, being a friend when someone needs one, firing a 9mm rifle at 30 ft., table trap skeet shooting, writing, communicating, using words like "curmudgeon" and "effusive" in sentences, being loyal to those that can return the favor.
The first things people usually notice about me
My voice (it can get really deep and loud or high and funny sounding) and my eyes. Either that, or how I can go from shy to outlandish at the drop of a hat. Or several hundred thousand drops of alcohol.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Oh man, there's too many to count.

Seven Samurai, Iron Man, Kevin Smith's Jersey movies (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks 2), Paprika, Perfect Blue, Nausicca and the Valley of the Wind, Finding Nemo, the Incredibles, Die Hard Series, James Bond films, Indiana Jones series, Star Wars Trilogies, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, George Romero's zombie films (and their remakes), Friday the 13th films, Nightmare on Elm Street films, Boogie Nights, Superbad, Knocked up, the Rocketeer, Secretary, Irreversable, Lost in Translation, Scratch, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Summer Wars, the Rebuild of Evangelion series... whoo boy, could I go on.

Doctor Who (classic and modern), House of Cards, The Following, The Killing, Mad Men, The Walking Dead, WWE programming, The Nerdist, Luther, Jekyll, Sherlock, Adventure Time

Music (Edited for merciful brevity):
Most Modern Rock, Underground Rap/Hip Hop, DJ instrumentals, French Electro/Techno/Disco/Dance music, many genres of Jazz and Classical and latin guitar music.

If you're looking for bands, I'm a fan of Daft Punk, The XX, Skratch Bastid, anyone on Doomtree and Rhymesayers records, Childish Gambino, Princess Superstar, Mac Lethal, The Budos Band, The National, Queen, Rodrigo y Gabriela, FKA Twigs, The Sword and so many more.

the works of Brian Micheal Bendis, Matt Fraction, Mike Avon Oeming, Ed Brubaker, Brian Wood, J.K. Rowling, Fred Ghallager, Naoki Urasawa, James Patterson, Chuck Palahniuk, Christopher Hitchens, George R.R. Martin and others.

Currently I'm reading Brain On Fire by Susannah Cahalan, Bossypants by Tina Fey, Everything is Going to Kill Everybody by Robert Brockway, Root for the Villain by J-Zone, The Martian by Andy Weir and Chance by Nicole Marie Lombardi. If you've got suggestions, especially if they don't fit the above, bring 'em on.

Food (and drink):
Omelettes! (My favorite thing to experiment with in cooking) Barbecue Ribs, Mahi Mahi, Chicken Sate, Waffles in homemade whipped cream, Strawberries, Honey, Tequila, Whiskey (how expensive depends on how good or bad I feel that second), Merlot (usually Yellowtail), Presidente Brandy, varied types of beers (usually Belgian Ales, milk stouts or something on the less hoppy side), Basset's Gadzooks! ice cream, whoopie pies, etc.
Six things I could never do without
My androids (music, phone, internet/social media, etc.)
Things to do outside the house
Family and friends
Zen philosophies and mantras
Loving myself while staying humble and realistic
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I've got enough time to get to the gym and still get a good night's sleep, how my friends are doing, where I could move in the city and not go house poor, "Does this place have wi-fi?". Does the state of "party" as described by Andrew W.K. really exist?
On a typical Friday night I am
Either working out, hanging with friends or playing games with my friends online. As long as I'm not staring at the walls, bored out of my skull, then it's a good night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I honestly think that when I grow a beard (like now), it's a good luck charm.

Other than that, there isn't much I'm unwilling to admit. Check out the Questions section if you want to know more.
You should message me if
You want to get to know someone new, you're looking for someone to play board and video games with, if you want to find a new place to drink a good beer in the city... or you just want a fun, non-threatening boy to get silly with. I'm down for just about anything.
