My self-summary
My name is Michael. I live in Athens, Ga. I was living in New York and working as an actor, but I moved back a couple a years ago to be closer to family and get out of the city. Currently, I'm working at the Georgia Theatre, and finishing an English Education Degree at UNG in Gainesville.
What I’m doing with my life
Finishing that degree I mentioned.
I’m really good at
I'm an excellent public speaker. I'm a fantastic cook. I'm actually pretty decent at any form of art with the exception of pottery. For some reason I could never do pottery. I draw extremely well. I'm really calm in bad situations. Also, I'm pretty handy around the house.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not sure. I'm pretty tall and a big guy (think football big, not couch potato big), so I guess people would notice that first.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The most recent book I've read is The History of the English Language. I tend to prefer biographies and historical works over fiction, but there are some definite exceptions. I love LOTR. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series is hilarious. I'm a big fan of old-school poetry, you know, back when rhyme scheme and meter actually existed.

I'll always stop on Groundhog Day and Grosse Pointe Blank if I come across them. I like the MCU (brownie/nerd points if you know what that is). I love Star Wars.

I've recently started watching The Flash on Netflix. I like Parks and Recreation, Big Bang Theory, South Park, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones.

I love David Bowie (rest in peace), Iggy Pop, Norah Jones, The Traveling Wilburys, Motown music. My musical taste are really broad. Spotify is my friend.

I love to cook. I like making big meals for groups. I make great chili, spaghetti, and grilled tenderloin. I love trying dishes I haven't had before. The weirdest thing I've ever eaten was roasted crickets in Mexico. They tasted like sunflower seeds.
Six things I could never do without
Work (I'm at my best when I have a goal.)
A good routine with random bouts of spontaneity
Good conversation
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely working right now.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The first ten minutes of the movie Up seriously jeopardized my manliness.
You should message me if
You're fun and a bit of a nerd, but you know when and how to be a responsible adult.
