My self-summary
New to the online thing and can't think of something witty to grab your attention. Sooo, read on… My range of interests is large and eclectic so I've had some great times and met some amazing people. I've been accused of being a text book Gemini (love astronomy and physics but don't put much weight in astrology). I've lived all over the country and seen even more of it. Can't wait to trot around the rest of this globe of ours, see everything she has to offer and meet all her people. Very progressive and open minded (sounds douchie I know, make of it what you will). My main passions being Nature and the equality and empowerment of everyone on this planet we all share. And so many other things but then I'd just go on and on. Just ask, or better yet, let me know what you're into. Always looking for new experiences and ideas, and the sharing of them.
What I’m doing with my life
I love, love, love getting out of town under the trees (or sun if there are only rocks and shrubs around, this is Phoenix) or under the lights and thump of the dance floor. Really enjoy bike riding (road & mountain, thou I do need a new mountain bike), camping, rock climbing, trail running, hiking, snowboarding, and cliff jumping. Loved bungee jumping and can't wait to skydive/surf. Busy all the time. Between work, family and friends sometimes its nice to just get home and get creative for dinner with a great beer and some good music/show/podcast.
I’m really good at
Conversations over a good draft, keeping secrets, dancing to the beat (even just the one in my head), cooking and ummmm…
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually my eyes as I've been told over and over and over.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: 1984, Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, all the Star Wars, Lord of the Ring, and Earth's Children novels. Everything by George R.R. Martin, Robert Jordan, Arthure C. Clarke, Orson Scott Card and many many more. Love to read but haven't had the time recently. Really getting into nonfiction and my Amazon cart is getting full…

Music: Mostly listen to EDM lately (especially DnB, dub and electro with a bit of house & hardstyle thrown in) these days. But also alternative, rock, classic rock, blues, classical, reggae, jazz, some rap, big band & swing, folk, just about anything.

Movies: Trainspotting, Inception, What Dreams May Come, Momento, Salton Sea, Butterfly Effect, Grandma's Boy, Fear and Lothing in Las Vegas, all the Matrix movies, Requiem for a Dream, among many others. Anything well done. Usually means horror (read: 80's) is out but not always, I have seen some good ones fairly recently.

Shows: Haven't watched TV in years, but I do watch Netflix and Hulu. Plus, I watch TED Talks all the time. Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, Caprica, Dr Who, Deadwood, White Collar, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Walking Dead, Lost, True Blood, Weeds, Firefly, Eureka, Rome, Line of Duty, Sherlock, Luther, The Wire, Archer, Warehouse 13, Life.

Food: Love to cook, just about cut out all meat from my cooking. My best friend is a vegetarian and his influence has really rubbed off. I make nearly every meal from scratch. Really lost my taste for processed food. Love learning new dishes. I love soul food, Thai, Mexican, Indian, true BBQ and I'll tear up a Mongolian Grill. Just getting into seafood after a lifetime of… lets say avoidance, and loving it. I love food and will try anything. The spicier the better.
The six things I could never do without
Family & Friends
Getting into nature & staying active
Snowboarding (living in the desert blows)
Good beer, particularly IPAs
My dog, Nadja
I spend a lot of time thinking about
So many different things… can't seem to shut it off. Life, matter, the stupid stuff that comes outta people's mouths, whatever direction my imagination takes at the moment, society, the future, various aspects of science and nature, where life is taking me and the various paths I'm gonna travel, wild flights of fancy, among many other things.
On a typical Friday night I am
We'll see… new job that isn't 7 days a week. Lets see how it pans out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
As I walk down the sidewalk I avoid stepping on any of the gaps unless the ball of my foot lands square on it.
You should message me if
If for any reason your interest was piqued. Drop me a line and we'll see what happens.
