My self-summary
West Coast to East Coast transplant, here. I'm a born and raised Los Angeles girl. Came out to Boston for college and just recently moved to NYC for work!
What I’m doing with my life
Just moved to NYC from Boston. I work in publishing primarily and write in my spare time.
I’m really good at
I mean, I'm not sure what kind of skill reciting comic book factoids is, but I'm damn good at it.

That and probably fucking with the gender binary. I love a good waistcoat about as much as I do a dress.

I'm sure I have other skills, but if I listed all of them where would be the fun in that?
The first things people usually notice about me
Let's keep it to people notice that I tend to do my own thing and do it my way.

That and apparently I have nice eyes.

And my talent for noting obscure literary facts is astonishing. That's definitely sexy, right?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
No, we're going to be here forever! I'm a huge movie fanatic! I love Disney and old school films from the 30s and the 40s. My DVD collection is fierce, dudes. And if I don't have it I'll get it and if I've never seen a movie you can easily talk me into watching it at least once. :)

I'm a huge sci-fi and fantasy fan so I watch everything from Doctor Who to Star Trek and Game of Thrones. This goes for my favorite books too. I love classic lit as well as fantasy novels. Hey, I warned you all that I was a geek. But I also love being introduced to new genres and books/shows/movies. I'm a big believer in you'll never know if you like something until you try it.

I listen to a lot of music, and a wide variety of stuff. I like metal, folk, jazz (yeah that sounded strange altogether). Kinda hard to talk about it all at once here.

I'm also a bit of a gamer. My absolute favorite video game series is the Bioshock series, but I'm also fond of Assassin's Creed, and basically every Bioware title available.

And as far as food goes, yes, I generally am a fan of that.
Six things I could never do without
1. My books
2. My notebook
3. My laptop
4. My limbs.
5. Probably my entire skeletal structure...
6. Definitely my internal organs. That would be bad if I lacked those for any reason I'd imagine.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lots of things. Thinking is an activity normally smiled upon in most societies.

Oh, sorry. Fine. I was once a literature student, so my friends and I often talk about books and media. Queer politics are also a big thing in my life given that I'm bi/ace. And I'm not sure what else to say. Except now this question has me thinking about thinking and that's a thought loop I don't need to be a part of.
On a typical Friday night I am
Oh, no I'm going to sound like a boring homebody now.

I like going out to the movies on the weekends, or just going someplace with a group of friends either just out to dinner or maybe for drinks.

Mostly I like doing something nice and simple where I can talk to my friends and we can all do something we enjoy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Spoilers, sweetie. If you want to know those things you are going to have to at least try and get to know me.
You should message me if
Please don't hesitate to message me. I know it says I don't respond that often, but that's just because sometimes I look at messages and then click away and forget I didn't respond right away. Bad habit I know, but I'm actually quite friendly, I promise.

The only rules I have here are that you don't message me for casual sex, or to ask me if I want to join your threesome. The answers to both questions are no.

Basically if you think I'm someone you'd like to get to know, you're cool with bisexual/ace individuals, social justice/activism, and the occasional odd pop culture reference we're probably going to get along just fine. :)
