My self-summary
As you may have guessed... I'm originally from the East Coast and value my roots even though I've been here in Toronto for a number of years and now call this home (it took longer than you might expect for that to happen). And since moving to the city I've come to love all that it has to offer, be it the variety of great food, concerts, festivals or the unique neighborhoods that it has to offer.

I didn't travel much when I was younger but I've been trying to make up for it. Most of my travels have been in city centres but I did manage a week driving around Scotland that left me with little doubt as to why Nova Scotia became new Scotland... Around town I'm much like anyone else, I enjoy getting out with friends and try new restaurants as well as visiting old favourites. Definitely more of a pub guy than a club guy when it comes to going out.

Other odd little tidbits about me... I'll confess to be one of the few guys in Canada that couldn't skate if his life depended on it. As well.... despite being from NS I hate lobster... you're welcome to have my share. I read a fair bit although I have to admit the guilty pleasures are sci-fi and mystery novels (cotton candy for the brain I like to say).

I'm looking for someone intelligent and outgoing who's willing to try new things.
I’m really good at
being unintentionally funny or so I'm told. That's all right... I dish it out as good as I get. I also play a mean game of pool, make a good taste tester and do a pretty good job of ensuring there aren't any left overs. Also, the IG photos of food are all dishes I've prepared (the photo credits go to a friend of mine).
The first things people usually notice about me
is that I'm actually as tall as I said I am (apparently that's something a lot of guys lie about with internet dating ?!). Beyond that ... probably my tendency to use unnecessarily large words... yes I get mocked for this... and yes, I'm being slowly reconditioned.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I enjoy reading quite a bit, mainly business stuff or sci-fi and fantasy... interesting to see the Game of Thrones being so popular these days. As for what's rocking my ipod I enjoy a lot of stuff and have been to a number of concerts over the past year... mainly small venue stuff like the Phoenix and Mod Club. Some stuff you would find on my ipod Mumford and Sons, Arcade Fire, Postal Service, Yeasayer, Death Cab For Cutie, Phoenix, XX, Of Monsters and Men and Patrick Watson
In terms of shows .... Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Dexter, The Wire.
The six things I could never do without
books
chocolate
games...cards, scrabble anyone?
BBQs or at least a good steak every once and while
coffee/tea
passport

Strangely (for me) yoga may soon make the list... Started going in the summer and while I'm still as flexible as an iron rod, it's a great work out.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how texting and walking is likely to be the next big safety campaign... and unless you're in a circus act... you shouldn't be riding a bike and texting at the same time ... I swear I see this at least once a week.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends at a pub or a resto and relaxing after a busy week.
You should message me if
Have a road bike and need a ride partner... just bought one this summer and would love a training partner, have an extra concert ticket or you have a new resto that you want to try or finished a great read that you'd like to recommend.
