My self-summary
New American transplant to London (from September 2012). Lots of changes in my life, but there remain some constants: Running (I've been doing marathons since 2002), lifting, hiking, camping, swimming, music, and traveling. I like to fit both good food and good beer among those as well. There's more to me than just a list of interests, so if you want to know more, hit me up. I'm generally a pretty talkative (and friendly) guy.

I am somewhat intelligent, sometimes kinda cold other times sorta sensitive, and a little bit funny.
What I’m doing with my life
Your guess is as good as mine.
I’m really good at
speaking confidently only when I am truly confident about which I speak. That is, I'm a bad bullshitter.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not as dumb as I look.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've never been one for fiction, which probably explains (or is explained by) my education and career choices. Few books are better than "Imagined Communities" or "Seeing like a state." I'm usually too impatient to see an entire movie to the end, but documentaries hold a special place in my heart. I listen to music constantly (when running, lifting, reading and writing) and if my life were a soundtrack it would have to include Ed Harcourt, Bon Iver, Rufus Wainwright, Stars, Sia, Jose Gonzalez, Thomas Dybdahl, The Avett Brothers, William Fitzsimmons, Burial, Ulrich Schauss, and a lil MJB. Oh, I like food as well.
Six things I could never do without
If we are going with inanimate objects, rather than people:

1. iPod (or some sort of electronic music storage and delivery system)
2. Running shoes
3. Good ales (excluding ginger)
4. My tattered Twins hat
5. Laptop
6. Coffee
On a typical Friday night I am
usually at war with myself between going out and being social and staying in, drinking a belgian or four. The homebody in me almost always wins.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was a child actor. Thank god the Intertubes didn't exist back then.
You should message me if
You think we have a good deal in common and wanna try matching wits.
