My self-summary
I enjoy indulging in hyperbole, telling stories, making people laugh, and going on prolonged, spontaneous midnight adventures.

I just like having a fun time and not taking things too seriously.

I've been called a decadent intellectual by some, and it's a title I'm proud of. So make of that what you will.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently I am back in my ancestral home, and spending my time on a writing/ art project and working. I spend a lot of time listening to records, drawing in my sketchbook, reading, going out to plays with friends, watching too many nature documentaries, writing, hiking, playing the occasional video game, and of course watching a lot of Netflix. Oh, so much Netflix.

So basically nothing
I’m really good at
Interacting with others. My acting/theater experience turned me from an awkward middle schooler to a schmoozing, svelte, and suave gentleman capable of making people laugh, cry, or mad with excitement. I love getting to know people, listening to their experiences, and trying to understand them. I just like talking to people! Whether spending personal one on one time, or hamming it up in a big group, I'm a complete extrovert, with shades of thoughtful introvert.

Staying up too late. Chronic Night-Owl, standing by.

I'm also a quite talented cook, and I like to make dinner almost every night.
Drawing, if not the most trained, I am quite prolific. I've drawn on almost any sheet of paper I could get my hands on since I was able to hold pencils.
I have a distinct eye for color, and I'm probably the only straight man alive who spends as much time color coordinating my clothes, and in some cases other people's too. Take that, traditional gender roles!
I'm *really* good at spending too much money on things at Vintage Stock, Hasting's, Barnes and Noble, and other places in that vein.
The first things people usually notice about me
My extremely dry sense of humor and my bombastic voice. It just carries really far.

My snappy dress/ attire.

My general height.

My dark brown eyes and swept brown hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors: Kurt Vonnegut, Roberto Bolano, Issac Asimov, Phillip K. Dick, J.D. Salinger, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Voltaire, Nietzsche, William Gibson. I like a lot more than that, but those are off the top of my head. Ask me about it!

Oh, and my favorite poet is T.S. Eliott

Music: In no particular order:
The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles( some of their stuff anyway), Credence Clearwater Revival, Van Morrison, The Band, Joni Mitchel, Linda Ronstadt, Frank Sinatra, Peter Sarsdet, Led Zeppelin, Kraftwerk, The Velvet Underground,David Bowie, Paul Simon, Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Queen, Billy Joel, REM, The Talking Heads, Pink Floyd, John Prine, The Flaming Lips, Vampire Weekend, Arcade Fire, Bright Eyes, Daniel Johnston, Daft Punk, Vangelis, Lazerhawk, Miami Nights 1984. Those are just a few of them! I generally like Electronic, Folk, Punk Rock, World Music, Smooth Jazz, aaaaaand, really anything that isn't just terrible.
This piece is a favorite of mine:

Film Directors I'm a big fan of:
Stanley Kubrick, Andrei Tarkovsky, Ingmar Bergmann, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorcese, David Lynch, David Cronenberg, John Carpenter, Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Werner Herzog, Jim Jarmusch, Akira Kurosowa, Ferderico Fellini, Paul Verhoven, Paul T. Anderson, Alfred Hitchcock, Terry Gilliam, Woody Allen, Ridley Scott, Frank Capra, Terrence Mallick, Joe Dante, The Coen Brothers.
Oh, and the Original, Unaltered Star Wars. Those are still awesome.
My movie tastes vary from silent German expressionists, to goofy 80's action films. From high art, to low brow schlock. From Sci-fi, to horror, to drama, and weird expressionism. As long as it isn't Michael Bay level trash, I'll probably give it a chance.
My favorite genres are : Sci-fi
Cyberpunk (which is not inherently Sci-fi!)
Japanese Giant Monster Movies, ala Godzilla and Gamera
Shows: "Twin Peaks","The Walking Dead" "Mystery Science Theater 3000", "The X-Files", "Avatar the Last Airbender", "Adventure Time", "Batman the Animated Series", "Breaking Bad", "Game of Thrones", "X-Files", "Firefly", and most science programs that aren't bullshit about ancient aliens or bigfoot.
I don't watch much TV anymore. Thanks a lot, Internet!

And it didn't ask for this, but I'll list my favorite painters as well:
Zdzisław Beksiński, Wayne Barlowe, H.R. Giger, Salvador Dali, El Greco, Kirshner, Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, Seurat, and really any art of Impressionist and post-impressionist art. Surrealism too!

Food? Pizza and Pasta are the most versatile, and a favorite of mine to prepare. Asian food, Mediterranean food, Sea Food, and Caribbean island food are also some of the food I like. Lots of spices with really vibrant flavors.
Six things I could never do without
Record Player, Computer, My Clothes?

A Stove for cooking

Really any of these things can be swapped for something else. I'm too fluid and mercurial to hold allegiance to objects.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What would I do if I met Bill Murray?
On a typical Friday night I am
Either at some kind of party or with my friends having a good time watching shitty movies
Writing, drawing, ect
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I know way too much about animals. Every and all kinds. It's not exactly private but I take pride in my love of animals. Nature and animals.
You should message me if
-You enjoy a little enlightened conversation on Literature, Film, Art, or Music, but also could enjoy a goofy immature joke.
-If you like animals and nature! I'm a big camper/ hiker, and I frequently bore people's pants off talking about what my favorite Cephalopod is( P.s it's Cuttlefish)
- Don't mind a little snobbish elitism, which I guess I'm prone to judging by my profile.
-Most of all, if you don't mind a little madness in your life, and have a thirst for adventure and living a little!

So long, and thanks for all the fish.
The two of us
